Beach!

Here is a recap of a little R&R from our beach excursion! We had the best weather one could ask for! It was just perfect and the water wasn't cold at all! My cousin M, and I soaking up some sun! He was so much fun to play with. My bathing suit is a tad bit too small and several years old, but it is my favorite bathing suit of all time and doesn't give horrendous tan lines (as you can tell my lifeguarding bathing suit, did!).cCm and I on the beach!

We stayed at the Blue Bay Inn in Atlantic Highlands, NJ. It is the only boutique hotel on the "Jersey shore". It was so nice. The service was top notch, the rooms were charming, and it was close to everything (40 minutes from Manhattan)! We loved this inn so much, that we have decided to travel there every year from now on because we had such a nice time. It is perfect for a long weekend getaway.
As a family, we had never been to a public beach. We have a lake home in Georgia and we spend time there every year and when take a beach vacation (which is every other year), we like to pick a different exotic, resort location each time. This wasn't our summer for a beach vacation but our family wanted to do something in addition to our time at the lake. So this was our first time, and it was quite a success. We went to Sandy Hook beach which is actually a national park, and it was lovely. Very, very clean, the water temperature was not too cold at all.
Have any of you ever been to this Inn or Sandy Hook beach? I'd love to know! More pictures from the beach/NYC trip to come!
Yours,
sCe

I loved in the Highland for a couple years of my life and grew up going to Sandy Hook beach every weekend. I love it so much, me and my husband got married there.

Cute beach pictures! I love a swimsuit that doesn't leave horrible tan lines, so I can relate!

Oh that is a cute pattern on your bathing suit! I've rarely had the opportunity to see the Atlantic, my family had a small cottage along Lake Michigan, and there are so many good memories to be had along the beach!

You are a darling! Looks like an awesome trip... we were in NYC at the same time! Although, I'm a bit jealous you were at the shore for the wkend, instead of sweltering away in the city! Hehe
