OOTD: Featuring Vintage Dooney and Bourke

Remember last year when I posted about Dooney and Bourke and how I have always envied my mothers vintage D&B bag. Well... bEw might be just be a keeper because when he came to visit, he came bearing gifts...
I am now finally the owner of a vintage D&B! A big thank you to bEw!
And an OOTD. Brooks Brothers gingham button down, vintage belt from Bermuda, Ralph Lauren nantucket red shorts and stitched Sperrys.

On a side note, I need your help! I'm stocking up on good vacation books and would love some suggestions. I like girly, quick reads but also love myself some Harry Potter and political biographies and autobiographies! Also, if you have any must-see movies that are out on Red Box right now, I'd love suggestions on those too (it's a longggggggg drive)!!
Have a fabulous day!
Yours,
sCe

Hopefully one sounds appealing to you! And for movies, have you seen charlie st. cloud? or just go with it? those are both really good ones.

Great outfit! If you're looking for some good political fare, I recommend Rick Perlstein's thorough treatment of Barry Goldwater's 1964 presidential run, "Before the Storm." There are also a couple of good Reagan bios that focus on his time as California governor--Lou Cannon's "Governor Reagan" and Matthew Dallek's "The Right Moment." If that ends up being too heavy for you, of course, you can't go wrong with Jen Lancaster. :)

I have loved reading the hit series Pretty Little Liars. I started before the show came out and have kept up with it, the books are light and super quick reads. Also, I just finished The Help, and it was spectacular! Have fun on vacation!!

The Book Thief
Anything by Jen Lancaster
I've heard awesome things about the Hunger Games trilogy, and even though I think it looks weird, I'm going to give it a try b/c everyone I know has RAVED about them (and most are even rereading!)

Have you read The Real George Washington, The Real Thomas Jefferson or The Real Benjamin Franklin? I really liked those, and if you like smart, hysterical political commentary any of Ann Coulter's books are great. Even though current events can be really depressing she can usually make me laugh so hard I cry...

Your outfit of the day is absolutely adorable!!

As far as books go, my summer reads have included "The House of Gucci," a biography about the history of the Gucci family and "Decision Points" (which I loved).

I'm about to go on vacation also, so I'm saving "Bringing Home the Birken." I can't wait to sink my toes into sand and start reading!

Have fun on your vacation!!

Confessions of a Shopaholic. Funniest girly books ever! The series is X 100000000000 times better then the movie. The books are by Sophie Kinsella. Books(in order) Confessions of a shopaholic, Confessions of a shopaholic takes manhattan, shopaholic and sister , shopaholic and baby. I think there is a new one now. But they are the best and you get hooked easily. Have a great trip!!
