Beautiful Brows

I think that Tumblr is a great outlet. In fact, I like it much more than Pinterest. I used to reblog frequently, but now, I mostly use it for my own photos and for the quick Q&A forum. Every once in a while I will find a picture that inspires me, and recently it has been this picture. I have no idea who this girl is (VS model, maybe?) but her eyebrows are perfect (not to mention her entire face). I have serious brow envy.

I have honestly never really thought about my eyebrows. I've never had my eyebrows waxed, died or even applied any sort of makeup to my eyebrows. Now, the above photo has me wanting to try out a brow pencil... or whatever it is that people do with their eyebrows.

This is where you, my dear readers come in... have you ever done anything to your eyebrows. What should I shy away from and what is definitely worth a try? I, by no means want to draw on my eyebrows or shape them by waxing/plucking etc... I just want to make them a bit more bold whenever I'm in a bold mood (see what I did there ;).

This YouTube beauty guru says she uses eyebrow powder (didn't even know there was such a thing!!), and she uses several different browns on different sections of her eyebrow...

This YouTube beauty guru uses a pencil that works for all hair colors. So many products, so many tutorials, so little time! I am starting to think this is too high maintenance for my makeup routine.

So... please dish your deepest darkest brow secrets, please and thank you!! Have a fabulous day!
Yours,
sCe

I get mine waxed and dyed and when I am lazy about it, my face just looks like something is missing....like right now. In fact, you have inspired me, I'm going to get my lazy self to the salon this week.

The picture is of Jessica Lowndes who plays Adrianna Tate-Duncan in the show 90210. Also, my natural brows aren't full at all. I've been using Bare Minerals' brow powder for years with a narrow brow brush to fill them in for awhile. The brand is really great because they have several different shades according to your natural hair color and it lasts longer than a pencil.

the girl looks like jessica loundes from 90210. kind of at least. i never really do anything to my eyebrows either except tweeze them occasionally. i feel like if you have naturally well shaped brows, not much else needs to be done. i also find using a pencil sort of intimidating. if you're interested in getting one i would say go to a make up counter or sephora and have an artist give you a professional opinion. good luck!

I use the Diorshow Brow Styler. It's a universal color that works great for me, since I dye my hair. It looks good when my hair is freshly red, and it still matches when it's closer to brown before I dye it again. It's about $28, and I can make it last 5-6 months. It's a pencil, but it's a very soft lead that's reminiscent of powder.

If you're going drugstore, I recommend the little eyebrow kit from Milani. It includes two colors of brow powder, a highlighter, a brush, and tweezers.

E.L.F. at Target has a brow gel/powder combo for $3! Can't beat that!

I'm an eyebrow fiend ahaha. I get them waxed about every two weeks. I like them full but with a perfect arch. Seriously, I have an obsession hahaha!

I am a little behind here but here is my suggestion. Go to a department store that has a true Anastasia station. I go to one at my Nordstrom. The first time, I had a consultation. The brow specialist shaped my brows by waxing and tweeting to begin with. They have brow templates to lay against your brow to see which brow shape is best for you. They prefer powders instead of pencils but sell both and will show you how to use both. Due to medications, I have lost quite a bit of brows (not hair like most) and must fill them and make them fuller. They do offer a kit that I love. It comes with the correct powder (duo), brush and shaper, the collection of templates to continue to use the perfect one for you until you are comfortable without. You also get a highlight pencil, brow gel, tweezers and tweezing cream that is wonderful. I also bought the pencil for some quick touch ups or super fast timing.

I continue to use their products as they are my favorite brow products. However, what they teach you, you can take to most brands!

If in a hurry, I throw on moisturizer, bronzer, gloss, shape my brows, mascara and go!

I am loving this trend as well! About the same time that I discovered it, I realized my eyebrows needed a little "oomph." I tweeze them a little and use a pencil to fill them in and shape them! I have pale skin and light hair and I've found that a grayish/ light brown color works for me.
