UK Recap

lMe and I!
First order of business on this little blog of mine is to tell you about this AWESOME campaign that one of my former roomie/sorority sister/bff is working on. She is currently living out my dream life in D.C. working in the PR industry. The campaign is called "Raise Your Hand Now" (Check out their Facebook page too!). Not only do I want to support one of my best friends in what she is working on, but who wouldn't want to support a cause that has the tagline: "Educate a girl and she'll change the world"?!

To help support my BFF, lMe, head over to the Facebook page and raise your hand... in fact, I will reward you! Check out the Rafflecopter widget below. It's the same one being used for the Haymarket Designs giveaway so if you "Raise Your Hand" on Facebook, you will get an extra entry for a ten pack of college koozies from Haymarket Designs!

So now, that you have "Raised Your Hand", I wanted to recap my weekend in Kentucky to visit cCm (as if you didn't already get enough from Instagram)! First stop , was The Village Idiot. Oh my goodness was it good! cCm and I split the B.E.L.T. and the crab mac n' cheese and we all shared the brussel sprouts and fries with various sauces for an appetizer-- it was beyond delicious... I'm getting hungry writing about it!

After dinner, we stopped through Transylvania University because it has such a pretty campus that is right next to UK's campus. I had honestly never heard of the school, but my dad knew a lot about the history... it dates back to the 1700's! For Friday night, I wore the J. Crew Jules dress in coloblock (I am obsessed with the Jules fit... it reminds me of something Samantha from Bewitched would have worn).

Saturday morning we went to cCm's sorority tailgate in our matching blue dresses (I wore the Allie dress from J.Crew and a Lilly Murfee, remember?!). It was a lot of fun and everyone was definitely all decked out in their game day best.  We skipped the game and decided to head to Keeneland as a last minute decision... when in Rome, right?

I found one of my friends I went to high school with at Keeneland! Guess who else I met...

Krista from Southern Shopaholic (@KristaLinn14)! The blogging world never ceases to amaze me... It connects you with so many fabulous ladies, like Krista! We chatted for a while and had so much in common-- even right down to our monogram necklaces... doesn't she look fabulous?! I can't wait until the next time I visit Kentucky so Krista and I can hang out again!

All in all it was a great weekend spent with friends and family! Have a fabulous day!
Yours,
sCe

You are so so cute! Love your outfit and love your friend's campaign. I think my dream job is to do something inspiring like that but I'm not sure for what.. Wish it could be agriculture related but with a female twist!

Loving your blog as always. Have a great day!

I went to Lexington last October and absolutely loved Keeneland. I had never been to a race, and it was such an exciting atmosphere... plus I loved the clothes of course!

The Village Idiot sounds really good! Love the Jules dress, too; my sister bought it for a Kappa semiformal and I can't wait to steal it afterward!

Indiana University! BIG UK basketball rivals, although they don't seem to think so anymore! ;)
