Giving Thanks

For every meal we eat as a family (which is several times a week) we say the prayer:
Bless us, Oh Lord, and these thy gifts whichwe are about to receive from thy bounty, through Christ, Our Lord.Amen.
I don't think there is a time where we didn't say this prayer. Well, on holidays, my grandpa would say a little something extra. We all hold hands around the table, bow our heads and he would say a few words before our usual prayer. So in memory of him and all of my family that cannot be with us on Thanksgiving, here is Grandpa's prayer:
May this food bless and nourish our bodies,
bless our loved ones near and far,
for we pray in the name Lord Jesus Christ,
Amen.
It is short, sweet and to the point. So today, I am thankful that I can remember Grandpa's prayer. What are you thankful for? From my family to yours, have a safe, happy Thanksgiving and a joyful holiday season. It's Christmas music time!!!

Yours,
sCe

That's so sweet that you can remember your Grandpa's prayer! Happy Thanksgiving to you! PS - I was going to ask, do you have any posts for smaller southern guy gifts {scotch sets, stationery, etc?} I'm sick of buying my husband clothes. Thanks!
