Closet Staple: The Shirtdress

I am a huge fan of the ever classic shirtdress. It's easy, comfortable, versatile and put-together. For some reason, I find that there aren't a lot of options for classic shirtdresses out there. I'm not a big Gap shopper but I noticed that they have several perfect options at an even more perfect price point.

I love this gingham version. It also comes in pink gingham and it's on sale!

The most perfect shirtdress? This DVF number needs to get into my closet. It is absolute perfection! Totally versatile and definitely a closet staple. If you don't follow the white rule, you could even wear it into fall with cute sweaters and boots.

Are you a fan of the shirtdress? Have a fabulous day!
Yours,

Sarah Vickers of Kiel James Patrick wore that DVF dress for one of her more recent shoots!

Just blogged about (and bought!) that Gap shirt dress yesterday! Was a tiny bit worried about the length so I got it in a tall (teacher problems).

Agree with Gracie Beth's comment - I have a navy Lands End shirt dress and it's amazing. Definitely on the longer side but that gives you more flexibility (to the knee, on me at least 5'6") for future hemming or length adjustment. I usually belt mine and that makes the length a little shorter.

I'm a big fan of that white DVF number. Ever since I saw it on Sarah Vickers, I've been on the hunt for it!

I Have the gingham GAP shirtdress is green and I love it!! It looks great with statement necklaces, scarves, or even just a monogrammed necklace.
