Casual Outfit: Ruffle Peplum Tee

We all know that I love a good ruffle top: case-in-point, last week's post. So when I saw this $38 tee, I knew I had to have it. It's been so hot here so I have been reaching for things that are light and breezy and this top is just that. It comes in several other colors, I'm definitely eyeing the black for fall/winter. It runs decently big, so I'd size down if you are in between sizes... but it's not a big issue if it's a little big since the fit is meant to be so flowy.

My sister came over one afternoon and we decided to take a long walk to lunch. It was really warm, so I wore something easy and comfortable. These shorts have been one of my most-worn items this summer. They are so easy to just throw-on-and-go. Unfortunately, it looks like they are sold out, however, you can find many similar pairs like these and these.

Callie had these sunglasses on and I asked her if we could swap for the day. They're something  I really don't think I would ever buy for myself since they are pretty trendy/large, but I really loved how they looked with this outfit!

Currently, I am at my lake house in Georgia, so be sure to follow along on Snapchat (@SummerWind41490). I am here with about 16 family members and we are having so much fun. I just love being at the lake. It's so relaxing and such a great break from 'real life'. Plus, it's so great to be surrounded by family all week-- it's one of those really great feelings in life that I look forward to each year. I am so thankful to be able to spend the time with them in such a gorgeous setting.

I've been loving ruffle hem tops! Just bought two yesterday. Love this one! I go up to the lake every summer with my whole family, some of my all-time favorite memories. Hope you have a wonderful time!

I looove your blog! I have bought at least 4 or 5 of the items you've shown, since you really highlight so many items I end up loving!! :) So thank you!

I ended up spotting the sailboat dress from Talbots recently on super-sale, and we appear to be of a similar size, and I liked the way it fit you, so I was wondering what size you had ended up with, if you don't mind sharing. The sizing and fit advice you've mentioned in your posts in the past have always been super helpful.

Appreciate it! Have a wonderful day!

Hey there! First of all, I love your blog. I've bought at least 4 or 5 of the items you've highlighted since I began following your posts this past winter. You have excellent taste! :)

For a long time I'd been thinking about purchasing the adorable sailboat dress from Talbots, and I recently spotted it on super sale on the Talbots website because of a big summer sale they're doing. You and I appear to be about the same size (and the info you have put in several of your posts about fit/style/sizing is super helpful!), and I was wondering what size you ended up going with. I'm definitely leaning toward the petite and typically go between a 2 and a 4, but since I liked the fit of the one you had posted, I was wondering which you went with, if you don't mind sharing. Thanks so much! Any insight on fit is very much appreciated.

Thank you again for all that you do! :)

Hi Jessica,

Thank you so much for your kind words :) The dress runs pretty true to size, if you are between sizes, size down! I am in a size 2! Hope that helps! xo
