Perfect Fall Dress

donna morgan print a line dress with valentino couture bow heels and chanel bag and lisi lerch tassel earrings

If you've made it down this far to actually read the post, welcome! I posted almost double the amount of photos that I usually do because 1) I just love love love this dress and 2) the sun was setting in the most beautiful way so the light was on point (check it out on Snapchat: SummerWind41490).

I wore this outfit last night to dinner with my family and friends to celebrate my parent's 32nd wedding anniversary! We went to the club for dinner and it was such a gorgeous evening (that's where they were married!!). The sun was setting and we got a little hint of the fall weather that is on its way. I can't believe my parents have been married for 32 years. I'm so lucky to have them in my life and had fun celebrating with them. It's also fun/funny to look back at their wedding photos and see some of the things that were popular back then. A lot about their wedding was classic and very tasteful, but there are a few things here and there that are definitely very 80's and crack me up!

I always enjoy having dinner at the club- it's so familiar and a place where I've grown up going. It's so nice to see familiar faces and catch up with people we don't see on a week-to-week basis. I almost always order the same thing, and that's just fine by me.... although this time, my sister and I split a massive piece of chocolate cake ;) Although you don't have to be super dressed up, I always use it as an excuse to get dressier than I typically would for a weeknight dinner out.

I got this dress in the mail earlier this week and as soon as I put it on, I knew it was going to become a favorite during the fall. It fits so perfectly, I could barely wait to wear it and knew last night would be a great night for its debut!

I love the understated, neutral print, the asymmetrical flounced hem, and the 3/4 sleeves. While it makes for a great party/cocktail dress, I definitely think you could wear it to work, too. The material is soft and luxurious but has a slight texture to it, making it look and feel a lot pricier than the actual tag!

As far as sizing goes, I am wearing a size two, so I would say the brand runs slightly big. If you are in between sizes, definitely size down! It comes in navy and red, too, if you're more into something with a little punch of color! All in all, I'm extremely impressed with this new-to-me brand-- the quality for the price is amazing not to mention their new arrivals are perfect for this transitional time period!

Love a good golf course shoot! And truthfully Donna Morgan isn't usually a top of mind brand for me, but this is causing me to reconsider. Enjoy your weekend!
