How to Style a Bell Sleeve Top

If you've been reading Summer Wind even for a short time, then you know, I'm not always into trends. However, from time to time, I'll 'experiment' in a 'safe' way. Today I'm sharing how I styled this bell sleeve top. It's a rather trendy item, however, it's a dark, neutral color and other than the sleeves, it's a rather classic top.

That's kind of what I look for when buying into a trend. I make sure everything about the piece is otherwise classic except for the 'trend'/or statement part. So for example, if this top was printed, I probably wouldn't have bought it because that would have been too much for my personal style and not fit in with other pieces in my wardrobe.

I'm also big on wearing all black outfits during the winter months. However, wearing all navy is really the same thing. It's dark so it is slimming and looks a little dressier than most other colors. You can see how I styled another navy outfit during the winter, here. Another thing about navy? I love navy tops with white pants in the spring/summer, so I'm excited to transition this top to wear with white pants and wedges! Whenever I can wear things year-round, that's another selling point for me!

I've never really been that big of a fan of the bell sleeve trend but I love the way you styled it! The navy on navy is just so chic!

This is so chic! I agree, this was definitely a great purchase because it came in navy. You should be able to get good use out of this for a number of years!
