One and Only Ocean Club Bahamas

One of my favorite parts about our trip to Nassau, Bahamas was that we got to explore Nassau by spending days at different resorts on the island! This was by far my favorite experience because it was absolutely dreamy-- my version of heaven, that's for sure!

We arrived at The One and Only Ocean Club which is only about a 20-minute drive from the Atlantis and as we were walking in, Katie noticed that it looked familiar from the James Bond movie Casino Royale. Sure enough, it was filmed there along with several other films! I actually ended up watching it when I got back and it was really fun to see all of the shooting locations from the resort!

It was closed for a little while due to damage caused by hurricane Matthew but has since gone under renovations and re-opened back in February! It was so nice to be one of the first people to enjoy the renovations. The overall atmosphere is elegant, refined, and tasteful. I was certainly taking decor notes for my future home!

As we walked into the beautiful, intimate resort, we walked over to a baby grand piano. Resting on the piano, were beautiful framed photos of stars and royalty who have stayed at the Ocean Club in the past. Lo and behold, Frank Sinatra was a guest! You all know my love for Sinatra (heck, my entire blog was named after one of his songs!), so this was such a fun fact for me! They also have a martini bar- another major plus, because you all know how much I love martinis!

As we walked out of the back of the resort,  we were greeted with the most stunning view of bright blue waters. I really felt like I was in the south of France because there is definitely a European flair to the resort. The Ocean Club is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen!

We had the pleasure of having lunch at Jean George's, Dune. It is situated right above the beach and beside the infinity pool and offers a gorgeous bar, comfortable lounge areas as well as indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside and enjoyed ocean views with the French-Asian cuisine. We dined on things such as tuna tartar, salmon sushi, and more. I had a shrimp salad as my main entree and it was the most delicious shrimp I have ever eaten in my entire life. We ended the meal on a very sweet note and tasted all of their desserts. Everything was wonderful, but the tropical pannacotta is what stole my heart. I would go back just to have a bite of that!!

This is also where we were introduced to Sky Juice, which is a Bahamian staple. It sounds like the most bizarre, borderline gross trio of ingredients, but the way the One and Only Ocean Club made it, it was one of my favorite cocktails! It's made of condensed milk, coconut water, and gin!

We got a tour of the grounds and I loved that they have tennis courts and a tennis pro on staff and you can take lessons! I need to plan a trip back so I can take a lesson! We also got to hang out at the Versailles pool, which is the original pool from the 1960's, which offers stunning views of the Cloisters. The Cloisters are a huge, expansive garden area with marble statues and then the most gorgeous architecture. Once you make it to the top, the other side has stunning ocean views!

This was also the day I chose to wear my beloved Allair maxi dress. It is so breezy and easy to wear. I cannot say enough great things about it. It was also so easy to travel with as it didn't wrinkle at all. You can wear it as a coverup, but also as a maxi dress. I received so many compliments. The green print is lovely but it's the tassels and low back that really steal the show. It runs true to size, but I'd suggest sizing down if you are between sizes. It is meant to fit in a flowy/relaxed way.

All in all, it was such a fun day and I hope to be back to the Ocean Club soon! I could not recommend it more if you are planning a trip!
