Lately 6/8/2017

Pittsburgh-ing: I went to the Three Rivers Arts Fest last Friday with my parents and we had so much fun. Besides being an absolutely gorgeous evening weather-wise, there were so many booths, a great live band, and lots of fun art installments and food trucks. If you haven't checked it out, I definitely recommend going. It ends on June 11th. I wore this super easy breezy little white dress. It was lightweight, comfortable but still dressed up enough for our dinner at Eddie Merlots!

Eating: I had mentioned I had dinner at one of my girlfriend's houses a few months ago where we made a meal from her Hello Fresh subscription. I am not sure why it has taken me so long to hop on the food delivery bandwagon, but I finally got my own subscription. Callie had done it and sent me her referral link, and with that, I signed up and got 3 meals (6 servings) for $20. Talk about a major deal. You can use my referral link and get yours for just $20, too! I got a chicken caesar salad, sausage kabobs, and a tenderloin meal. All were easy to make, taught me a few new cooking tricks, introduced me to new ingredients and that all made it totally worth it. I am going to do it on the weeks I am at home for three consecutive nights because it's fun and inexpensive!

Drinking: If there is a job at Nespresso where I can just taste test their coffees all day, where can I sign up? I love my Nespresso and use it all the time- I could not recommend it more! They just came out with a new coffee, Cafe de Cuba. It's the first Cuban coffee available in the US in over 50 years. It's bold and flavorful and all around delicious. Definitely, grab a sleeve on your next order!

Watching: I just watched the HBO documentary, Mommy Dead, and Dearest. It has to be the absolute creepiest thing I have ever watched. I was so creeped out before going to bed that I called Callie just to chat and then put on an episode of Friends just to detox my brain from seeing something so incredibly bizarre. I recommend it in that it's just so insane, you can't believe it is true, but I don't recommend watching it by yourself because it's just so unsettling. It's also definitely not appropriate for children at all.
Wanting: This lightweight jacket looks way more outdoorsy than I am, but it's SO cute. I love the colorways. There is also a pullover version- I can't decide which one I like better! Scroll through the widget above to see more of my favorites!

Wanting II: I've told you all about my favorite Dior lip balm. I seriously use it every single day and now have on stashed in my car, bathroom, handbag, etc. It's the best thing ever invented for a low-maintenance beauty routine. So I was really intrigued when I stumbled upon their version of nail lacquer, too. It's similar to the lip balm in that it adjusts to you personally for a very subtle hint of color that just looks natural. Has anyone tried it?! It's a bit pricey for a bottle of polish, so I am hoping it's worth it!

Reading: I am not sure how I came upon this article (probably Twitter or Facebook), but it's called 'Making a Marriage Magically Tidy', and I think absolutely everyone can relate to this if they have ever been in any kind of a relationship. Even if it is not a romantic relationship, I think you can still relate to it. Everyone should read it!

Reading II: This article was really interesting because it talks about fluctuating incomes with American families. It's a really good read and kind of eye opening!
Wearing: Do not walk, run to your nearest Target to check out their pajamas and housewares. I popped in the other day to grab a few essentials (face wash, aluminum foil, etc.) and of course, you can never go to Target and only walk out with what you came in for. I stumbled upon their pajama section and omg are their sets adorable. The best part? They are super inexpensive, too! At the Target I was in, the sizes were sold out in a lot of things, so I actually suggest maybe shopping online so you can get the size you need. I usually size up to a medium in pajamas because I really love a loose, comfortable fit, but it seems that these run a little on the larger size, so I would suggest sticking with your usual size. Scroll through the widget above to see my favorites, they are all under $20!

Quoting:  remember riding in a taxi one afternoon between very tall buildings under a mauve and rosy sky; I began to bawl because I had everything I wanted and knew I would never be so happy again.”- F. Scott Fitzgerald// See more of my favorites, here.

I watched Mommy Dead & Dearest with my mouth hanging open...it crazier than a Lifetime movie. And I kept thinking "How did no one know this was happening?" Why did the dad never go to one of the doctor's appointments when she was a child? WTF?!
