Warm Weather Getaway

Warm Weather Getaway
Hellooooo 2018! Can you believe it? I certainly can't. I have a holiday recap coming soon, but today I wanted to start things off with fresh, bright, and colorful. I love Christmas and all it entails, but there's just something so refreshing after taking all the red/green and plaid down. Getting rid of the Christmas cookies, putting away all of the wrapping and presents and starting fresh with bright whites and pops of color. Especially because Pittsburgh is soooooo cold and gray right now.

Arizona (recap coming soon) was such a nice dose of warm weather and I am so ready to head to another warm weather escape next month. For now, I'll just be browsing for outfit ideas and wishing these were the things I was wearing. Is anyone headed for a tropical escape?! I'd love to know where you are headed so I can live vicariously through you!

It's funny-I'm not one to love the heat. I'm good with 60 degrees... in fact, I'd prefer a bit of a chill overheat. But when it's 5 degrees outside, I'd take 100 degrees over this craziness! Who else is with me on that?!

White Embroidered Dress// Madewell always does such a good job with embroidered items and I love the crisp white with a bright pop of the orangey red. Now... just need a tan to go with it!

Aerin Scent// I love all things Aerin (I actually found some of her home pieces at Homegoods of all places for a STEAL!). Her scents are so good. I haven't come across one I dislike. This one smells just like summer and it has me majorly craving warmer weather. Plus, the bottles are stunning!

Striped Ruffle One Piece// It took me a while to get into one piece suits because my stomach is one of my favorite parts of my body. However, since they have become so popular, there are SO many options. I love so many of them that it's hard to choose, but I'm always drawn to stripes.

Straw Hat// I'm not a huge hat person, to be honest. However, ever since visiting Peter Beaton on Nantucket, I've really wanted a classic beach hat. This one is so cute and something that you'll wear years to come. My only issue is how to pack them- it's such a pain!

White Robe// I got a Ritz-Carlton robe for Christmas after falling in love with their robes in Philadelphia. There is nothing better than a hotel-style white plush robe, am I right?! This one is by Matouk, which makes some of my favorite linens, so you know it's going to be good!

Printed Coverup// I'm a huge fan of a good coverup... I have way too many but when I see a print I love, I can't hold back. This one is especially gorgeous!

Straw Bag// I have a love/hate relationship with straw bags. They're gorgeous and so perfect for the beach, but they're also another item that is such a pain to pack/fly with! I also don't love how so many of them are $200+ (just for a straw bag!!!), but this one is super cute and at a nice price point, too!

Ruffled Slides// How fun are these? They're comfortable and cute, but what I really love about slides is that they're so easy to just slip on and go! I also love this blush option which has a bit of a heel!

Tortoise and Blush Earrings// I'm envisioning these being worn with a gauzy white dress and flat sandals. So simple, so chic.

Lilly Pulitzer Beach Blanket// There is just something so uplifting about Lilly's prints. I always smile when I see the bright colors and it definitely always puts me in a sunny state of mind!

Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl// This is one of my absolute favorite beauty products. I have it in my makeup bag at all time. I use it under my brow bone, in the corners of my eyes, and on my upper cheekbones to highlight and brighten. It looks very natural and just gives you a simple, sun-kissed glow.

Sunglasses// I have a pair of these and love them, but this white shade is really fun. I typically stick to just tortoise, but lately, I've noticed myself gravitating towards something a little different!

Striped Pajamas// The sweetest striped pajamas in the palest of pinks. Whether you're sitting inside under a pile of blankets or walking out onto a balcony overlooking the ocean, these will make you feel bright and cheery! I can't resist a great set of pajamas!
