It's also traveled with me on vacations or sleepovers. It's also been through the wash many, many times and is still with me but with a couple of new pillow cover, or two. So, no you're not alone regarding sentimental childhood blankies, toys or pillows.caknitterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05330025823620584812noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4918559434689983550.post-32620091465251960172010-08-12T19:36:07.012-04:002010-08-12T19:36:07.012-04:00I still have my blankie, but its just the ribbon b...I still have my blankie, but its just the ribbon because I picked the inside of it away (can you say early ADD?) lol. and I have the rabbi my dad game me the day I was born.AtlYankeeBellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02856258758077090168noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4918559434689983550.post-83491330522511802232010-08-12T15:01:11.996-04:002010-08-12T15:01:11.996-04:00I still have my small teddy bear that I loved when...I still have my small teddy bear that I loved when I was younger (he went on lots of vacations too). Sadly, I left him tangled up in the sheets of the bed in our hotel room in Rome 5 years ago! (I was 14 at the time) Whenever it comes up in conversation, we say that he was such a cultured bear and loved Rome so much he didn't want to leave! Haha, I still miss him! My boyfriend (now, husband) captured Strings, my bear from when I was young, and my favorite children's book, and framed them all together in a shadow box. He gave it to me for Christmas our first year dating. I was wondering where my blankie was all that time (about 3 weeks missing) and when I opened my gift, I cried so hard. He said, "I'm so glad you love it!" And I said, "Ummm... it's really nice, but I wasn't ready to give my blankie to a shadow box." It was awkward, but now I love it and we'll be hanging it in my daughter's room!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4918559434689983550.post-8490084684663776272010-08-12T09:51:51.532-04:002010-08-12T09:51:51.532-04:00I still sleep with my baby blanket too! It's the same one I came home in the hospital in! :) We once took a trip to Hawaii, and we got off the airplane and left my blankey on it!!! I begged my dad to go back and get it..(This was back before heightened security) so the airport people let him go back on the plane to get it. I think I was 8. Luckily my boyfriend doesn't tease me or say anything.....I keep it under my pillow. Better to have a blanket or stuffed animal than be a thumb sucker for life right? :)C Maehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07386100674885272078noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4918559434689983550.post-35088476981882929612010-08-12T09:22:33.827-04:002010-08-12T09:22:33.827-04:00I still have my blanky, although it stays in the c...I still have my blanky, although it stays in the closet. However, I still do have my baby pillow that I still sleep with and it goes with me on trips still. I can't sleep without it. I agree, it's more of a habit than anything else now. It's been recovered a few times, but the original (shredded) covering is still tucked away in the middle of the pillow. I swear, I'll be buried with both my pillow and blanky. :)Cherylhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17455188618963566197noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4918559434689983550.post-54116750808362579432010-08-12T08:32:55.123-04:002010-08-12T08:32:55.123-04:00Love that book.
