Lately

I hope you are all enjoying your week so far! My mom and I are having the absolute best week in Palm Beach, Florida. We are just soaking it up, eating, drinking, enjoying the sunshine and warmth! I cannot believe it has still been so cold and rainy since we left in Pittsburgh. I will not be ready to come back. I am a big fall/winter person, but this trip has confirmed that I am OVER the freezing cold weather and gray scenery! This PB trip has totally re-energized me and re-inspired me. I am so glad for that!

I'll have a full PB travel guide maybe sometime when we get home next week as I know many of you have been asking for that. I will also share/link all of my outfits so stay tuned!

Wearing: These white jeans are seriously one of my most favorite ever. They are a wider leg so not a true straight jean but they are so chic!

Eating: Taco Bell's Mexican pizza is coming BACK on May 19th. I cannot wait, I love love love their Mexican pizza!

Eating II: Made this whipped feta dip this past weekend when we had friends over for dinner and it was insanely good and so easy to make.

Drinking: We had this drink at Buccan the other night called 'The Real Dill' and it was the best cocktail I have ever had. It was mezcal, dill, pineapple, and averna. The mixture of flavors was off the chart!

Watching:
Stranger Things Season 4 comes out at the end of May! Watch the trailer, here

Listening: You can listen to my spring/summer Spotify playlist, here. It's getting really good!
Loving: I love Club Monaco and have been their fan for many many years. However, the past year-ish, I have purchased very little from the brand. It all seemed so drab to me. If you are unfamiliar with the brand, they create high-quality, timeless staples. Pre-2020, a lot of the pieces would be very office-wear appropriate but I've noticed them doing a lot more casual things in the past two years. Their cashmere is some of the best out there. They usually sell the most beautiful winter coats and more. Anyway, I went on their site the other day and it was the first time I actually liked quite a few things on their site! Hopefully, they are getting their groove back!
Wanting: I want all of the pretty dresses!

Amazon Rec: I am soooo into this sunscreen stick right now. My nose always gets so red no matter what I do. I put this on my nose and reapply every so often and it WORKS! You can find more of my Amazon favorites, here!

5 Random Items I Highly Recommend

I just tried out this lip gloss and I love it. It's one of those lip glosses that is supposed to give you bigger lips but I have never really wanted 'bigger' lips. I read something about this particular gloss, though, that sold me. Instead of making your lips larger in appearance, it will fill out lips so that fine lines are minimized. So I ordered it and it WORKS! It doesn't really tingle, just makes my lips feel 'chilled'. But really, it is such a pretty color and worth every penny.

I was so skeptical about this sports bra, but it's an Amazon find and it is SO much like lululemon, it is crazy!!!!!!! I ordered a medium based off of the size chart but wish I would have gotten a small. It has removable padding. I remove it as I am not a huge padding fan. It is so high quality, I was just so shocked.
This is the best vase. It is so underrated. For $30, it is well worth it!!! It is not lined, so I always just slip in a glass vase I have around the house but you can use a waterbottle or plastic bag even! This looks like something Serena and Lily would sell for like $200.

So I wear sunscreen basically 24/7, even in the winter months. However, in the summer, no matter what I do, my nose gets red. I reapply, wear hats, etc. but sometimes it's just totally unavoidable. It drives me nuts and I do everything to avoid it. So this year, I am putting this sunscreen stick at all exits of my house so that I can double up on the sunscreen. We are in Florida now so I've been using this and I can just take the stick and glide it around my nose for extra protection. I love it most because when I'm running outside to walk Henry, it will take a few seconds to just glide this on to my face! It's fool proof and so convenient. It'a also small enough and lightweight enough to toss into any handbag. I highly recommend this! It's mineral-based but it does not have a white cast to it at all!
I love this bag. It's the perfect size for a night out and has room to contain all your essentials like lipstick, a small wallet, sunglasses, and more. It has a detachable shoulder strap. It's totally neutral so it matches with everything. It's the perfect dressy casual bag for the summer months!

Striped Shirt Dress in Palm Beach

Hope you are all having a great week so far! I am out of the office this week on a fun trip to Florida with my mom! We are on a mother-daughter Palm Beach trip to celebrate my belated birthday and an early Mother's Day! We arrived yesterday and first of all, we had NO travel hiccups which is music to my ears and the weather has been an absolute dream!

I'll be sure to share travel guides and all of that with you guys in the next week or two but I wanted to share this Dress that I wore on our first day here in Palm Beach! I'm wearing a size small and would say this dress fits true to size!

First of all, everywhere you look, there is a gorgeous backdrop for a photo. But also, this was the perfect little dress to stroll Worth Avenue and window shop. We are going to go back and do actual shopping, but we just decided to take it all in on the first day as we arrived!

These Sandals are BEYOND comfortable. They are padded so your foot is cushioned as you walk!

DIY Rub and Buff Gold Mirror
Rub and Buff (used on mirror)// Frog Tape (to tape off the mirror)

I am the least DIY person probably ever. So, please take this tutorial with a grain of salt. However, even I think this was easy and that's really saying something. I had this brown mirror that I bought many years ago from Kirklands. I don't really even shop there much, but I remember just wandering in one afternoon as it is right next to Homegoods. I was moving into my apartment and I needed basically everything.

In Kirkland's, I found his gigantic mirror and it was marked for $15. It wasn't the look I was going for but the size and price were unbeatable so I went for it. The border is not real wood- it's some sort of MDF. So it's not necessarily the highest quality but the size is just fantastic. Anyway, I brought it up to the counter and it rang up as $150 or something like that. I didn't even ask the sales associate to match it, she just automatically said they would match it and I felt so proud of my find.

I lived with the brown border on the mirror (see before photo above) for 6+ years and finally, I decided I was going to take matters into my own hands. I bought a little tube of Rub and Buff in the gold leaf shade, taped the mirror's edges with this tape, got an old t-shirt and I just started rubbing the 'paint' onto the mirror. I had never used Rub and Buff before but I Googled around and read some tutorials to make sure I knew what I was doing but it could not have been easier. I didn't need to sand the mirror and I did it right in my office.

I wanted the mirror to end up looking something similar to a mirror you'd see in Restoration Hardware. The picture you see above was my inspiration and it is almost $3000.

I am so pleased with the end result. Of course, it doesn't look exactly like the RH mirror and was also not the highest quality in the first place, but this mirror has served me well and this was a fun little project! I honestly could not believe that such a tiny little tube could transform my mirror!

Recent Outfit Try On

Today I'm sharing some of the things I have shared on Instagram in the last week or two!

I am wearing a size small. It runs very roomy/flowy! The fabric is lightweight so it's the perfect thing for those super hot summer days that we surely have coming up in the next few months! I really love the maxi dress in this same fabric!

This is such a quality, classic dress. Again, this is something you toss on when it's hot hot hot! It's made of a nice, thick carded cotton so it has a little bit of structure to it. I am wearing a size small and it runs true to size!

A favorite Cardigan of mine. It's men's. I'm wearing a small. It's so high quality and soft. I've had these Jeans for years and just unearthed them from my closet. They are so soft and have a very relaxed fit! And this is the best Button Down ever. I get my usual size small but it does run very roomy!

This is a new-to-me brand out of Charleston and I just love it. There are so many beautiful dresses and this one is so fun. I'm not typically an orange gal but this just drew me in. It's so bright and cherry but I think the stripes keep it polished and classic! This is a 'tent' style dress so it's very roomy. I plan on taking it with me to Palm Beach next week! I really love this green printed dress by the same brand!

I love these classic fit  Jeans- they only have a little bit of stretch but somehow they are still so comfortable! This Cashmere Tee is an absolute must! SO comfy and cute! I wore this outfit to a Pittsburgh Pirates baseball game!

Dress// Mark Cross Bag (old, similar)// Cardigan (no longer available)
Block Heel Sandals (review here,Use code SARAHFLINT-SYDNEY50 for $50 off)

This dress is so fabulous. It has that 'special' look to it with the jacquard fabric, the pearl neckline and the scalloped shoulders. This dress runs big. I got a small but should have sized down to XS!

This dress reminds me of a men's business shirt. It is made feminine with the pretty peter pan style collar and ruffled skirt! I'm wearing a small and I'd say it's true to size. The fabric is not a cotton poplin like you might expect, it's more of a dressy fabric- almost like a crepe! Thinking this will look fab with a white or navy sweater tied over my shoulders!

This is such a ladylike dress. It looks like something Kate Middleton might wear! It is a little roomy. I am wearing a small but probably should have gone with an XS. This fabric is structured, almost like canvas! The belt and buttons look like classic blue enamelware (it has that blue splattered look).

I don't think the photos online do this dress justice! You can't really tell that the flowers on the dress are actually beautifully embroidered on the fabric! I'm wearing a size small. It runs roomy!

Block Heel Sandals (review here,Use code SARAHFLINT-SYDNEY50 for $50 off)

I get major Bridgerton vibes with this beautiful linen dress because of the lower, square neckline. I just love it It feels so feminine. I am wearing a size 4. I'm usually between a 2 and 4 and went with my larger size in this. It does have a bit of stretch due to a bit of smocking in the back. It's fully lined and overall beautifully made. This is the kind of thing I'd wear on a summer date night!

Block Heel Sandals (review here,Use code SARAHFLINT-SYDNEY50 for $50 off)

This is one I wasn't so crazy about when I tried it for the first time. I just don't think I look great in it, but the fabric is gorgeous linen, and overall a really nice dress, just not for me!

Lately

Did you all have a great Easter (if you celebrate, of course)? We did. We go to my parent's house for Easter and extended family and friends come. My mom is the best cook and most wonderful hostess. She always sets a beautiful table and serves so much food.

We also ended up celebrating my birthday, my Aunt Mary's birthday, and Buddy's birthday (my parent's dog) that evening as our birthdays all fell a few days before or after Easter. Buddy's was actually on Easter! My parent's rescued Buddy as a surrendered dog so they actually were able to meet Buddy's previous owners so they are lucky enough to know Buddy's exact birthday!

Do you all still do family birthday parties as adults? We do. We always go to my cousin's house for their birthdays and over to my aunt and uncles for their birthdays (etc.) and other family and friends join. It's just always been something we have done as a family and such a great tradition.

My aunt also still gives us gifts for literally every holiday. She made all of the cousins an Easter basket and even one for my husband. We always joke that she likes him best as he always seems to suspiciously get the most candy! She does this for holidays like Halloween, too. It's adorable and she has always been so generous.

This week, overall, was a little stressful. All good things! I just have a lot going on with projects/work and then I'm headed to Palm Beach next weekend! We are having friends over for dinner on Saturday which will be nice. I always love hosting but I need to get my act together and start thinking about the table and all of that! We are serving a Mediterranean-inspired meal with grilled shrimp and chicken and my favorite Mediterranean orzo salad, and more... some summer flavors because even though it SNOWED Monday and Tuesday, it is going to be 79 and sunny on Saturday. I cannot wait!

Wearing: This is what I wore for Easter! A lot of you asked about the Sweater. It's from a United Kingdom brand but looks to be sold out! Hopefully, they re-stock it. I wear mine so often!

Eating: Trying this chopped salad recipe ASAP. It sounds delightful!

Eating II: I am telling you, Hungryroot is the best. I look forward to our deliveries every other week. We made pork carnitas bowls for dinner this week and they were soooooo good.

Sale: Tory Burch just launched their sale. I have these placemats in blue and love them. I'm honestly tempted to get them in pink, they are so well made and fun! I also love this handbag.

Sale II: Williams Sonoma is having a really great sale on tabletop and bar. These pretty blue and white plates are a great price.

Watching:
I finished The Ultimatum, which is a reality show by the same people that did Love is Blind. It's on Netflix. It was the oddest concept, I kind of understand what they were going for but I felt like I was just watching a total trainwreck! I'd say don't waste your time on that one, haha!

Listening: Joy- Ben Rector. SUCH a feel-good song! Listen to the words. I love this line...

'There for a minute, I was feeling real rough
Until I saw that what I had was enough
I didn't know that I could love it this much'

I have to admit, I'm not a huge Ben Rector fan, really. He is talented, no doubt, but something about his music... I can't put my finger on it but I've just never loved it. But I love almost all of his new 'Joy of Music' album. The song he does with Kenny G is AWESOME (I LOVE Kenny G)! I want to listen to 'Thank You' every day. It's such a pure, uplifting reminder. I think if everyone listened to this album, we might all be gentler with each other and more thankful for this life and what we have!

Loving: I got this Ergatta water rower and I am OBSESSED. If you are on the fence about it, I'm telling you, it is the best and so worth it!!!!
Wanting: These lemon taper candle holders are SO pretty! Just ordered this hand cream with SPF 40 in it. It has great reviews and I put on hand cream constantly so I figured I might as well be using something with sun protection in it! Brides, THIS DRESS!!!!

Pittsburgh: We went to Gi Jin for my birthday dinner in downtown Pittsburgh and it was fabulous. It's a restaurant that specializes in sushi and gin- right up my alley!

Amazon Rec: I talked about this Dress last week but forgot to share the photo! You can find more of my Amazon favorites, here!

Traveling: I'm headed to Florida on Monday on a mother/daughter trip to Palm Beach. I am so excited! My fingers and toes are crossed that I actually make it to my destination this time!!!
