White Bottoms

White season is almost upon us, and for many of us who don't follow the outdated rule, white season is already upon us. Many are timid about wearing white, in fear of getting their whites dirty or because they just don't know how to wear their whites best. Well, look no further because during the summer months, I consider myself the queen of whites. Literally, it is hard for me to go a day without wearing a white dress or some sort of white bottoms. There is something just so crisp and clean about bright white and you might as well embrace before fall hits!

First of all, Chambray shirts are "all the rage" right now... do people even still say "all the rage"? Anyways, if you don't own a chambray shirt, I highly suggest it because of its' casual and comfy nature yet you can still make the shirt look put together. This wardrobe staple can take you well into fall and even into winter when layered with a sweater. I L-O-V-E the look of a chambray button down shirt tucked into white cuffed shorts with a simple brown leather belt. Very neutral, very classic, and almost has somewhat of an understated elegance to it.

Next up on my list is the classic and nautical boat-neck striped shirt. This is a classic not only because it never goes out of style but because literally, every single summer, someone reproduces this shirt.Whether it be J. Crew, Tommy Hilfiger, The Gap, Talbots, L.L. Bean, Lands End, Boden, etc. Everyone offers a nautical shirt. So how do you wear it? I personally love the look of white capris and then a white long-sleeved striped shirt or cotton sweater. The more white in the shirt, the better. It's classic and has a very clean look.

So you don't feel like going all out on an outfit today? Pair a simple white tennis skirt like the one above with a bright, almost neon zip up jacket. This lets the neon pop with your outfit, not to mention how great your tan will be against both the white and the bright color. Even better, most tennis/golf skirts are actually skorts, so you can still look cute and your movement won't be restricted!

Last but not least, white pants. I can't get enough of white pants, especially in the evening at the beach when there is a cool breeze. I especially love the breezy white linen pants, however, I also love me a good pair of white skinny jeans. Just as you can go neutral, bright or nautical with your white bottoms, you can also go pastel. I love the look of pastel argyle with white denim. It's classic but because you are pairing the argyle sweater with denim, there's a bit of casualness thrown in as well. This type of outfit is perfect if there is a chillier summer day and you are meeting friends for lunch, or have lots of errands to run for the day.

These are just my favorite ways to wear white but the possibilities are endless! What are your go-to ways to wear your whites? Have a fabulous day!
Yours,
sCe

I'm into the white jeans with a fun bright top. I also love any white with navy tops.

I agree with Annie for sure!! I am thinking possibly white shorts and navy top for my engagement pictures. I really wish I could get more wear out of white jeans, but lately in Florida its been too hot. Very cut outfits!
