Let's face it, if you work in a traditional office, work outfits can seem pretty boring. It's so easy to get into a routine of black pants and white blouses, which looks great. However, it can get monotonous, especially during the dark, gray winter months, don't you think?
Today I'm sharing an outfit to inspire you to break out some color in your 9 to 5 wardrobe. You don't have to be draped in hot pink or orange, but even just going with blush pink or navy can switch things up and revive your wardrobe!
In today's case, I'm wearing my favorite work pants ever. Really, they work 24/7, not just for work, but I think they're especially perfect for a work setting. They're a beautifully tailored pant that has a flat front that zips on the side. They're ever so slightly cropped so they look great with both heels and ballet flats. They have a seam running down the front of each leg which lengthens and I find the overall fit to be really flattering and slimming. I have them in navy and just got them in black because I love them so much. They're a bit of a splurge, but they're a quality pant that you'll be able to get a ton of wear.
As for sizing, they run true to size, if anything, a little big. I am in a size 2 and normally wear a 27 in jeans, so I technically sized down (although I wear a size 2 in skirts). This is definitely a pant you want to fit perfectly because they are very tailored, so going up a size won't look as good.
To add some color, I threw on this lace top from the Purple Poppy, a boutique located in Mashpee, MA. It's such a gorgeous, interesting top. It looks way pricier than it actually is (under $70, use code Poppy for 10% off). I've worn it several times now and have received so many compliments! I'm wearing a size small.
