I just finished reading Bergdorf Blondes by Plum Sykes. It was a great book. It doesn't have a lot of depth to it, which personally, I like because for the past 8 months, I've been reading economics text books and psychology textbooks. It is a great, light, beach appropriate read. It's all about the world of the Upper East Side, high fashion, and dating drama. I definitely reccomend it! I read it in a few days, and really enjoyed it! Here is an overview of the book.My next tackle is Celebutantes, The Second Assistant, and I am currently reading through New Manners For New Times. I'll let you know how these go when I am done. I also just finished re-reading The Preppy Handbook. I haven't read it for several years, and it was a great, quick easy read, as of course, I'm sure most of you know!

I've always wanted to read that book, maybe i'll give it a try :) I agree, it's nice to read something light after reading something for school or just a serious novel in general. And I love, love, love that first top! So classic, it'll be perfect with some diamond or pearl earrings :)
I love Talbot's but everyone thinks I'm crazy and it's a 'mature woman' store. I'm totally middle aged at heart. You're so right about Plum Skyes books; fab for mindless reading.
Bergdorf Blondes is one of my favorite summer reads! You should definitely check out Plum Sykes' "The Debutante Divorcee." It's a cute follow-up!!

I love BB. Such a fun book! I'm neck deep in psych books as well, so it's fun to be able to read something silly & fun. I've read Celebutantes, which is also fun, but not the other two! I'll have to add them to my list.
