Lately 12/24: Christmas Eve Style

I just had to include this-- because who can say it better than Eloise?! SO excited that it is Christmas Eve! I hope everyone has something fun planned today or tonight and is able to spend time with their loved ones. Today's 'lately' post is all things Christmas Eve!

Reading: Luke 2:8-14
"For behold, I bring unto you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the City of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.' And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God, and saying, 'Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men."

Eating:  Tonight we have a buffet style meal, starting with a gorgeous spread of appetizers and hors d'oeuvres-- one of my favorites being deviled eggs and then it is on to a major meal of pretty much anything and everything you can think of! My favorite is the hot Italian sausage!

Pittsburgh-ing: Every year the neighborhood lines up luminaries down the street. It's so gorgeous and such a great tradition that brings everyone together!

Watching: Before mass, Callie and I watch so many Christmas movies. Callie's favorite is Polar Express and mine is Home Alone.

Listening: Tonight is the night that all my friends and family gather around the piano and sing Viva La Vida by Coldplay.

Loving: Tomorrow there will be a full moon on Christmas. The first full moon on Christmas since 1977 and the last full moon of the year! The next Christmas full moon won't be for about another 20 years! Crazy!

Drinking: Champagne all night. We close off the night with flip cup-- almost everyone at the party gets involved. It's hilarious and tons of fun.

Wearing: Pajamas until it is time for mass. Then I will be wearing this dress or this dress- it will be a game time decision!

Wanting: I want everyone to have the most joyous and blessed Christmas possible. I hope everyone is safe and happy and remembers the reason for this incredibly joyous season. From my family to yours, Merry Christmas!
