Sharing this festive tablescape with you all today! I went full-on traditional with a tartan tablecloth and Spode's classic Christmas dinner plates and champagne flutes!

I realized after I edited the photos that I didn't get a shot of the entire table, so if you are curious, check out Instagram today as I will share some videos I took of the entire table.

This has been the year of the table for me. I've found a creative outlet in this and it's just fun for me. It's a learning process and I feel like each table gets better and better as I go on!
Spode Christmas Tablescape
We had my parents over for dinner and had scallops, lobster cakes, and caesar salad. It was absolutely delicious and so fun to eat at such a festive table!

For me, these Spode plates have so much meaning. We always grew up with them and so not only do I think they are beautiful and festive, but it's part nostalgia and part tradition! We ate on them all December, not just for special dinners during the holidays so that's what my fiancĂ© and I do now, too. It's a fun and easy way to signify the holiday season.

These Gold Charger Plates are plastic. Yes, plastic. But they don't look like it at all. The only way you'd be able to tell is if you actually picked one up. They're inexpensive and just fun to have to switch things up.

I don't really love the Napkins in this tablescape. My mom had them on hand because I didn't have any other napkins that looked right with this table, so while they look fine with this table, I'm making a mental note to find something that I like better for next year.

I also didn't have a vase that really went with the table so my mom came up with the idea to plant a poinsettia in one of my Spode serving bowls. I thought it turned out so cute!

How lovely! I think this turned out so fun! Last week I hosted supper club last week and used a large pile of hydrangeas in a dot vase and surrounded the bottom with magnolia leaves I picked off my boyfriend's tree in his yard. Turned out super well and felt creative! This has for sure been the year of the table scape, #grandmillenial.
