Happy March! I'm jumping the gun on this post as we still have about 3 weeks to go until we even get to spring, but we have had milder temperatures the past few days and I am just SO excited to be able to get outside again and enjoy!
I have come up with items that I own and feel like I wear constantly during the springtime and even throughout summer. Spring in Pittsburgh is a real toss-up, sometimes you need a puffer and boots in May and sometimes you are wearing sundresses April 1st. This list is going to focus on warmer temperatures than possible April snow!
Neutral Flat Sandals
I would say I wear flat sandals 75% of the time in the warmer months and they are also usually neutral in color. They're easy to throw on, they work with most outfits and they are comfortable. I did a post on my most worn flat sandals, here. I think my top three pairs would be these 'H' sandals, Jack Rogers, and these nude sandals.
Flowy Sundresses
I'll have this dress in a try-on today over on Instagram and oh my goodness is it a GOOD one!! It's under $100 and is the exact type of dress I am constantly wearing in the warmer months. You can wear it in spring with a cardigan or denim jacket and then by itself in the heat of the summer. A flowy dress is basically my 'uniform' as they are just so easy to throw on and look cute. They take very little thought and are so comfortable.
White Jeans
I did a whole post about these white jeans and to this day I still absoultely love them! I wear them constantly, even during the winter months but even more in spring/summer! I'm also thinking about getting these as a second option since I wear white jeans so much!
Cashmere Sweater/Wrap
This is one of my most favorite cashmere sweaters that I own. It's so luxurious and well made and comes in lots of neutral color options. I find that I wear the navy one with white jeans a lot in the spring months. I love that the crewneck is a tight circle (not hard to get on over your head at all). I also love classic cable cashmere sweaters and these wraps.
White Button Down
This is a year-round staple for me so I could not leave this one out!! These white button downs are my favorite. They are a relaxed style and so comfortable and effortless. For a more polished look, I love Brooks Brothers classic fit shirt and then during the hot summer months, I love this linen button down.
Striped Tees
This is likely the least surprising item on the list (although, I don't think anything on this list would be a surprise, ha!!) but you all know I love my striped tees. I specifically love a boatneck Breton-style tee but I have all different kinds. This one from J.Crew gets a TON of wear year round. It's a nice, thick cotton with a classic boatneck and is affordable!
Basket Bags
This particular basket bag is from J. McLaughlin (but last year). There are tons of similar ones for this year, though! I also have this one that is more of a tote style (on sale) and love it because it can fit my big camera as well as a towel if I want to use for a pool/beach bag. I start carrying a basket bag around April through September. I love them- they feel casually but ladylike at the same time and there are so many different shapes and styles.
