Styling A Flag Sweater

Shop the Outfit:
Happy Friday! I took photos of my outfit on a boat ride the other day! I love evening boat rides. We usually put together a charcuterie board, grab some cocktails and a cooler and just cruise around enjoying the weather, company, and scenery.

Something about a boat is so relaxing to me. I even love just laying on the dock; the sway of it almost puts me to sleep!

I recently got this Flag Sweater and love it. I LOVE a flag sweater and anything red, white, blue, or Americana- it just feels so summery to me. I still wear it year-round, don't get me wrong, though! I have the cream Ralph Lauren version. I've had it for at least 10 years now. I got so much wear out of it and have always wanted the navy, so I tried this one because it's a bit different with the rolled neck and hem. I'm wearing a size small, and I would say it fits true to size but is very roomy, so size down if you want something a little more fitted/polished looking.

Underneath, I am wearing a cotton Striped Long Sleeve Tee. It is certainly no surprise that I love stripes, and this cotton tee is such a classic. It's 100% cotton, so I suggest sizing up if you want to dry it in the dryer. The fabric is lightweight, so it's great for layering or for warmer months. There are so many colors to choose from.

I had a few questions about these Linen Pants that I keep wearing. In fact, I'm wearing them right now as I type this post, ha! Some of you asked if they are see-through, and they are not! I wouldn't wear something see-through, and if something was more sheer and required a slip, I would include that in my post. These pants are fully lined. In the photos above, if you look closely at the hem of the pants, you can kind of see the lining outline.

I can't believe our time here is coming to an end. I will be home in just a few days! Being here with family and friends is truly priceless. My aunt, uncle, cousins, family friends, grammie, parents, husband, sister, brother-in-law, etc., are all here, and I love everyone! It's a little slice of heaven and doesn't even feel like 'real life'... life just seems 'simpler' here if that makes sense. I know that it's days like these that I will remember and hold closely all my life. I'll have been gone for 17 days, which is kind of crazy to me because it feels like I have been here for a long time, but at the same time, it has flown by!

While I don't totally want to leave this little 'bubble,' I do need to get back home and get into a routine again. I have missed my rower and Orange Theory classes and my own bed!
