Here we are, another week almost finished! Did this week fly for anyone else? I didn't have too much on my plate this week. I had a few conference calls, my usual workload, went to some Orange Theory classes, and went out to lunch one day with my mom. It was mainly lowkey.
The weather has been so mild and so I've been taking advantage of that by going on long walks with Henry!
This weekend we are getting together with friends we haven't seen since before the holidays so that will be lots of fun!
Wearing II: I wore this outfit last week out to dinner and then to see Cirque Du Soleil! Everything I am wearing is either sold out or very old so I didn't link it on my stories but I ended up having quite a few people ask me where to purchase things like this! The original sweater is J.McLaughlin from many years ago, the faux leather pants are Zara from many years ago, and the shirt underneath is Lauren Ralph Lauren from many years ago. The Manolo Blahnik Hangisi flats were a pre-Christmas major sale find but no longer available. Anyway, I wanted to link some similar pieces for you all in case you want to recreate the outfit!
Eating: I was sent Levain cookies this week, and it was such a fun surprise. If you don't know, it's a NY-based bakery that makes the best cookies- they're known for their chocolate chip, and the cookies are huge. I had bought the frozen Levain that was in stores for a short period of time, but they have since discontinued them. I haven't had an actual Levain cookie in ages and was reminded of just how amazing they are.
Drinking: My mother-in-law came to town this weekend which was so much fun. On Saturday night we decided to do a little blind wine tasting to compare two different years of my favorite cabernet from Marietta cellars, their Game Trail. It's absolutely delicious and right under $40. I think the taste for the price is amazing. It drinks like a $100 bottle of cabernet. Before comparing them blindly, I would have told you that 2016 is my favorite. I was surprised to learn that I actually prefer 2018! It was a great surprise because you can no longer get 2016, but 2018 is still available! I really love Marietta in general. They produce wonderful wines, and their price point is pretty decent.
Watching: I just watched Freaky Friday (2003). First of all, I cannot believe that movie is 20 years old. That makes me feel SO old. I was 13 when it was released and it was one of my favorite movies- I thought it was such an 'older' sophisticated movie, ha! Watching it now was nostalgic but it is actually a really cute movie and worth the watch. I watched it via Disney+.
Loving: This is the second time I have purchased this Slipper style. I just got them in pink after my metallic gold pair became so worn in. I love slippers that you can just slide right into in the mornings, which are so soft and comfortable. I also like that the sole is thinner, so it's more flexible for wear around the house. I've had some slippers in the past with a thicker outer sole, presumably so you can wear them outdoors or outside the house, but I would not wear them outside of my home!
Wanting: I've been surprised with all of the new arrivals brands have been releasing. Maybe I am imagining it, but year's past have felt sparse this time of year!
Pittsburgh: My mom and I just went to Lunch at Bistro 19 and I forgot how delicious it is! The dining area is pretty and filled with natural light. I also love their menu, I wanted everything on it! We split the peppercorn burger and the almond chicken. Does anyone else love splitting meals? I love to be able to try different things and so does my mom so we always pick two things and split! My husband loves to split, too, it's my favorite thing to do! I want to go back in the evening because I saw their boozy coffee list and a bananas foster desert that sounds amazing!
Amazon Rec: I just got this Pullover; it looks similar to the Lulu scuba pullover but costs a lot less. It's definitely not the same, though. The material is a little less structured, and the inside of the fabric is a warmer/cozier/softer fleece. I got this in a size medium, and I would say it runs true to size but if you compare it to the Lulu version, it runs small. I have the XS/S in the Lulu and it fits oversized in the best way. But with this, it's not nearly as oversized so I am going to return and get a large or maybe even an XL for a more oversized look more comparable to the Lulu pullover. You can find more of my Amazon favorites here!
Smelling: My mom is obsessed with Le Labo Santal, and this hand soap smells just like it! It's under $10!
Quoting: 'If you don’t know the guy on the other side of the world, love him anyway because he’s just like you. He has the same dreams, the same hopes, and fears. It’s one world, pal. We’re all neighbors.' - Frank Sinatra // See more of my favorites here.

Hi Sydney
Levian is in the freezer section at Whole Foods. All you have to do is heat them up. They are just as good as the real thing. I serve them and everyone is blown away. xx hugs x
