So much green blanket love this week!
I hope you are all staying warm this week! We haven't gotten much snow, but it has been frigid, that's for sure! I've spent much of this time cozied up with Henry and the green blanket, just hibernating and working!
We cooked some yummy dinners this week, and I've done some OTF workouts, but other than that, nothing to really highlight!
This weekend, we are headed to a friend's for a birthday party, which will be fun. I would call myself a decently social person, but January is usually pretty slow for us, and honestly, I kind of like it. I like making more time for books, relaxing, cleaning, watching shows, etc!
Eating: I've said it before; I'll say it again. I went out in the negative wind chill just for some Whole Foods sourdough bread. It's SO darn good! The best is when you pick it up, and it is still warm.
Drinking: I swapped out our old everyday glasses for these, and they are bringing me so much joy! There are two sizes! One is a bit smaller, which we have and love but they are more for juice and cocktails. These are larger and better for water!
Sale: In the widget above, I'm sharing some seriously good men's sale finds. Prices are SO good, and the selection is also classic and great. I'm always looking out for a great deal for my husband. This roundup is from a few different brands, so pay attention to the code you may need to use at checkout to get an extra 25-40% off!! I ordered my husband quite a few things from this mix!
Watching: Are you all watching Southern Charm?! I thought this season was so much better than last, though they dragged out the Austen/Taylor/etc. drama the entire season. Can't wait for part II of the reunion tonight!
Loving: I don't typically take to a skincare product so quickly, but I got this in a PR package, and after 2 or 3 days of use, I am *loving* it. I don't think I have ever used an Ilia product but now I think I need to try others because this one is so good. Here's the website's description, 'Let your skin drink it in. This vegan face milk sinks in on contact, flooding skin with a calming boost of moisture. With every wear, it’s clinically proven to reduce redness, smooth texture, and strengthen the skin barrier. Lightweight and layerable, the versatile formula flexes to fit your ritual—use it as your moisturizer to lock in hydration, or under a cream when skin feels dry.' I'd say that is spot on. It feels SO good on my skin. It's watery so just be prepared for that, but for how watery it is, it hydrates so well and is perfect under makeup.
Loving II: My sister introduced me to the Tarte lipgloss that is SO popular. I kind of never understood its popularity as I always thought it was more for teens than adults, but once I tried hers, I totally got the hype. Anyway, I got an email yesterday saying my code SUMMERWIND now works on Tarte- it saves you like $4ish!
Pittsburgh: I finally tried Alta Via Pizza! Loved it. We got takeout, but next time, I want to head to the Bakery Square location to try it out on the spot.
Amazon Rec: The prettiest shoe clips you snap right onto any flat or pump. These give a Manolo Blahnik vibe, don't you think? You can find more of my Amazon favorites, here on my Amazon page where I am constantly updating it with all of my finds and top picks from home, beauty, fashion, and more!
Smelling: I just finished this body wash, and it was amazing. I will switch to something else as I like to rotate shower products, but I will definitely come back to this. The brand also makes it in a hand lotion that I want to try. The branding and the scents remind me of Aesop, except this brand is less costly.
Traveling: We are off to Charleston soon, which is exciting, considering it snowed here this week! We are just going for a quick long weekend. We usually like to go around this time of year, but we were planning on not going as we have a Mexico trip later this spring for a wedding that is using a lot of my husband's vacation time. He surprised me by booking this trip and has planned out the whole thing and made reservations and everything. I am excited to eat and just bask in the 'warmth'.
