Lately

This cutest hat from the Belle of the Ball x Lisi Lerch collection

Henry spotted his bunny this week, and he was SO happy. It's funny to watch because the bunny knows I won't let Henry catch him, so the bunny taunts Henry!

Hope you are all having a nice week! We had great weather this week, so I spent much time outside with Henry! I am glad I soaked it up because we have cold and gray weather in our future. Ugh!

I did my second-ever pilates class this week, and so far, so good! I bought a car, and it is getting delivered today. Cars don't really excite me, so I'm a little blasé about it, but it's fun, I guess! I'm still keeping my Passat (I will keep it until it dies), but I went with a different brand this time, and instead of a sedan, I got a small (maybe it's midsize?) SUV.

We are popping over to Ohio today. Each year, my husband presents a scholarship award to a deserving student at his alma mater in memoriam of his brother, who passed away from childhood cancer. It's a nice event.

We are getting together with friends for a baseball game this weekend and hosting a Mother's Day dinner for seven. I haven't hosted in a while, so I snagged this tablecloth (in Columbia blue), these vases, and these tealight holders to create a pretty tablescape. The tablescape is my favorite part of hosting! My mom requested my husband's ooni pizzas, which will be casual. I am biased, but his pizzas are better than anything we had in Italy and better than local restaurants around here, like Il Pizzaiolo and Cucina Bella. I have been trying to get my husband to write a blog post about the Ooni and his perfected methods, so one day, that will happen, ha!!

Wearing: I have come to love these white Sneakers. I've been favoring them over my Veja, Tretorn, and Rothy's. They're incredibly comfortable, but what I love most about them is the cut around the ankle. I find them low-cut at the sides of the ankle, making them so flattering! They run true to size. Lacoste also needs to have a resurgence. Their pieces are so good and classic right now. This Dress is beautifully made, and I know it's something I will reach for every spring and summer.

Are you following me on the LikeToKnowIt app?! You can shop all of my outfits, favorite finds, and more in the app. I am constantly updating it with the latest! You can also access all of my posts, here, if you don't use LTK!

Drinking: I mostly enjoy one cup of hot black coffee brewed at home on a daily basis, but every once in a while, I'll go to Starbucks or another coffee shop for an afternoon pick-me-up. I tried the nitro cold brew with vanilla sweet cream on top, and it was delicious. The coffee was bold and flavorful, and the sweet cream was subtle and a nice touch. I really enjoyed it!

Reading: Apparently, there are benefits to being lazy. An interesting article. I struggle to be lazy, but boy, when I allow myself to do nothing, I relish it. I definitely feel recharged after a day of laziness!

Sale: This Zimmerman swimsuit is on sale for under $100- love it!

Sale II: This is one of my favorite little white summer dresses! It's just beautiful and looks much pricier than it is! Right now, it's marked down to $51! It runs true to size; if you are between sizes, size down!

Watching:
Right now, I am watching 90 Day FiancĂ© Before the 90 Days (the latest season). I got hooked on this franchise during the pandemic and can't get enough now. It's one of those shows you can have in the background, as you don't need to pay much attention. The season I am watching is wild. I added We Were the Lucky Ones to my watch list. It's on Hulu; I believe I read the book years ago. It was an incredible book. In that same vein, Peacock just launched 'The Tattooist of Auschwitz' series based on the book. That was one of the best books I've read, but it is one you have to read in parts because it is so gut-wrenching. After reading a few pages each evening, I would have to watch something like Friends because I needed to be calmed down before sleeping because it was so upsetting.

Listening: I think I like Zach Bryan. I'm sure many of you are like, 'Where have you been?!' But I'm not a big country person and just assumed it was country music, so I never gave it a chance. I think he is more folk than country- his music reminds me a bit of Caamp and the Lumineers.

Loving: I wear a white tee more often during spring and fall than any other time. The left is often in stock and only $15; the right just returned in stock, which I was so glad to see so I could order another. I love both. I prefer the cut on the right ever so slightly, but both are great.

Wanting: This blue suede tote
is absolutely stunning. I could see a designer brand selling this for double the price. It reminds me of this Aerin weekender. This dress is very Palm Royale; love it! This jacket is also darling. My fave New Balance sneakers are back in stock- I guarantee the green will sell out quickly! This dress is a great price and comes in 3 colors. This is a cute and classic outdoor throw pillow- the red, white, and blue is perfect for Memorial Day weekend. It's under $15! This is the most classic LBD under $100! This is a pretty and inexpensive outdoor rug! This is kind of random and something I didn't even know I needed.

Traveling: We are visiting my sister and brother-in-law soon, and I am so excited; I haven't been to their house in quite a while because they have come home a lot over the last few months, and we have been able to travel with them a bit, too!

Quoting: Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day. You shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.” - Ralph Waldo Emmerson // See more of my favorites, here.

PLEASE ask your husband to share his Ooni best practices! My husband really struggles with getting his pizzas cooked in the middle and it can be pretty stressful
