Lately

From a fun event, we went to last week!

Made a meat and cheese board for the Steelers game this weekend!

I hope you are all having a great week! Wow, this week has sped by. Thursday really crept up on me! It wasn't a particularly exciting week, but it was nice nonetheless.

I cannot believe we are nearing September's end! It saddens me because I don't want this fall season to pass so quickly! We have a lot on the calendar for October, so I think it will fly by. I'm already seeing brand emails about the holidays, holiday decor, and gift sets launching. It's just wild!

This week, we received nice news about Henry, which I'll share in a blog post next week!

White Shirt (use code YOUROCK)// Green Crcoc Embossed Shoes (use code SYDNEYC17)

Wearing: My mom and I went to check out the Arhaus Clearance Center, which just opened a few months ago. Arhaus isn't really to my taste, but I love the idea of a clearance center! They had SO much stuff. The prices were great and they had quite a few things I would have purchased myself if I had the room. It's a true clearance center- so overstocks, customer returns, slight damages, etc. If you are furnishing a space and looking for deals, this is the place to go! We grabbed lunch beforehand at Mediterra, and I wore this simple as the weather has been SO humid lately... you can tell... my hair!

Are you following me on the LikeToKnowIt app?! You can shop all of my outfits, favorite finds, and more in the app. I am constantly updating it with the latest! You can also access all of my posts, here, if you don't use LTK! You can also find me on ShopMy, another shopping platform!

Eating: My husband made our favorite flank steak recipe (he adds a juice of one lime, too) and we paired it with this 'dense bean salad' recipe my sister made and recommended! It was good- not my favorite but worth making! I put the bean salad over arugula!

Sale: Athleta is having a friends and family sale! I love their Cypress color so much that I ordered this trio (leggingstank, and cardigan) to wear as a set for OTF/Pilates.

Watching:
I started The Golden Bachelor and have enjoyed it so far as something that can be played in the background as I work. We started Into The Fire: The Lost Daughter (Netflix), a documentary about a missing person. We are less than one episode in, but are enjoying it so far.

Listening: I got tickets for Dave Matthews for my husband and me! They're coming to Pittsburgh in November. I love DMB and attended his concerts every summer in high school and college. He usually plays at Star Lake, which is not my favorite because it's far away, so I haven't been in many years. But this time, he is playing at our hockey arena, which makes things fun and easy! I am so excited. One year, in high school, I went to NYC with two friends to see Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds play at Radio City. It was around my birthday, and my parents allowed me to go for my birthday. It is still one of the most memorable gifts they've ever given me! The Radio City show ended up as an album, and it's still one of my faves. I am pretty sure I cried when they played Stay or Leave and #41. #41 is one of my faves of all time!

Loving: I love these Shearling-Lined Sneakers that I ordered on a whim. They're a bit expensive for sneakers, so at first, when I unboxed them, I was a little skeptical. But once I put them on my foot, I understood why they are selling out. They are SO comfortable, and the shearling is just so cozy. What really sold me is that the laces are elastic so you just slip them on, no tying laces. They're basically Ugg sneakers (but not actually Ugg brand). I still think they are a bit overpriced, but because there isn't much else like this out there, I'm willing to accept it. I can see myself wearing these daily in cold weather for walks, running errands, etc., because of the warmth, comfort, and ease.

Pittsburgh: I hadn't been to Mediterra in too long, and this quiche was SO good. I got a turkey sandwich, and it was just OK. My mom got this quiche, and it was huge, but it was out of this world. It was SO creamy!
Wearing Medium (cardigan runs very oversized, pants run true to size, so I went with my pants size vs top size)

Wearing medium, will size up again to large as I prefer a more oversized look. So true to size for a close fit, one size up for a roomy fit, two sizes up for an oversized fit.

Wearing a medium, get your true size for a closer, more tee shirt-like fit. This fits more like a blouse, I think I'd prefer a closer fit in this, so I want to get my true size small. Please ignore my face, ha!!

Wearing a medium. This is true to size and small might have been better as this was a little big but I don't mind.
Amazon Rec: I ordered these pieces on a whim. They all come in so many colors and have good reviews so I wanted to give them a try. I liked them all and felt the prices were fair for the quality!

You can find more of my Amazon favorites, here on my Amazon page where I am constantly updating it with all of my finds and top picks from home, beauty, fashion, and more!
