Lately

Sunset from our hotel, The Gardiner House

Another pretty moment at The Gardiner House- you better believe I found that amazing table online!

Signs of spring!

Watching the Masters on a rainy and cold Sunday at our hotel!

I hope you all have had a great week! Apologies for my absence for the last two days! I was giving myself off on Tuesday as a birthday gift since we were away enjoying a long weekend trip in Newport, Rhode Island. However, that extended into yesterday as we had a very crazy and unexpected travel day filled with delays left and right. We were supposed to arrive home around 6pm, but we got home around 2am. We arrived at the Providence airport at noon, so our travel day was about 14 hours. We laughed about it as we could have driven home much quicker! But we had the best time. I will definitely do a travel guide next week!

That travel day was exhausting, so I wore leggings and a sweatshirt yesterday and caught up on emails, laundry, unpacking, and other things. I was so excited to pick up Henry from my parents. I always miss him so much, and he was so happy to see me. I stopped into Trader Joe's to stock up because we had nothing at home.

After returning home from a trip, I always have a laundry list of mundane little things I am grateful for! It's the best feeling. I love my morning coffee made just as I like it, my own bed, my nightstand, which has all the little things I need in the drawer, like lip balm, hand lotion, etc, my skincare drawer with all of my favorite products, my big fluffy robe, my afternoon green tea. I love being woken up by Henry with his cold little nose. I could write a book!

I feel more organized and sane today. I'm looking forward to having tea this weekend with my girlfriends. We are going somewhere in Pittsburgh that I have never been! Are you all looking forward to Easter? My parents host it yearly, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends come for Easter dinner! Since my birthday always falls near Easter, we usually celebrate with cake and other treats, which is always lovely.

Wearing: This cashmere wrap was the MVP of my trip. I wore it every single night to dinner. It was cold so it was *very* necessary. I love the pop of color it adds! This wrap comes in 17 colors! I'm eyeing the Barbie Pink and Nantucket Red as my next colors!

Are you following me on the LikeToKnowIt app?! You can shop all my outfits, favorite finds, and more in the app. I am constantly updating it with the latest! You can also access all of my posts, here, if you don't use LTK! You can also find me on ShopMy, another shopping platform!

Eating: I ordered these tortilla chips on a whim in a grocery order, and my husband and I agree that these are incredible! They are organic and made with avocado oil, too, which makes me feel a touch 'healthier' about eating chips and salsa!

Drinking: We had the BEST cocktail at Wally's Weiners in Newport. It's a casual bar/restaurant that specializes in hot dogs. The cocktail was called 'guava lava' and made with Spicy Tequila, Guava Liquor, a Splash of blood orange juice, lemon juice, lime juice, and simple syrup. It's shaken over ice and garnished with a jalapeƱo slice and lime slice. It was the perfect mix of tart, spicy, and sweet. It's their take on a margarita, and I thought it tasted very similar to a spicy margarita. The guava liquor adds a unique twist. I think I would omit the simple syrup if I make it at home to make the tart flavor stand out even more!

Watching:
I just finished The Pitt on HBO and enjoyed it. It wasn't the best TV I've ever seen, but it was worth watching. I just started Adolescence on Netflix, and it has captivated my attention. It's about a young boy who is around 13 years old and is accused of a crime... You don't know if he actually did it or not. I'm only one episode in, so don't spoil it for me!

Loving: Wella sent me a gift set of their newest hair line, Ultimate Smooth. I have only used the hair mask once so far (on the far right), and it smells amazing and worked SO well. It's supposed to combat frizz, and it did just that! Can't wait to try the other products. I am a Wella fanatic.

Loving: Have you all seen the AI trends where you create a doll of yourself and turn your dog into a human?! I did both and I am cracking up!!!! They were easy to make (my doll needed a lot of edits, so it was time-consuming, but easy). These are a fun way for people to learn to use AI and gain experience.

Wanting
: I can never resist a blue and white stripe, and this dress and cardigan combo is cute! This white lace dress is perfect for a bachelorette trip or a honeymoon! The cutest vintage basket bagThis striped dress is simple and cute- I am soooo glad it doesn't have puff sleeves. This travel set is on its way to me. Chic! These martini towels are so fun! Love this fabulous bracelet! The sweetest pink bow flats. I want to try out this skincare brand solely because the packaging is so unique! These sandals with the cool heels are back in stock! Such a cute sweater tank at a great price! Such a cute Nancy Meyers-esque beachy sweater. The chicest white linen dress that would be perfect as a coverup, too! Want this striped pajama set! Just ordered this print which I am so excited about! A hydrangea lamp!!

Pittsburgh: We just got tickets to the US Open! I am so excited to go!

Amazon Rec: This is such a random find, but I was looking for something particular, and I'm so glad to know it exists! These little leather 'cups' are weighted at the bottom and lined with a velvety material. They come in a few colors, but I got this beige to blend in with my car interior. They are meant to sit on a desk or end table to hold a pair of glasses so that their lenses don't scratch and are easily accessible. I wanted it to keep my sunglasses reachable without messing with cases while driving. This way, I can grab the sunglasses and protect the lenses.

You can find more of my Amazon favorites, here on my Amazon page where I am constantly updating it with all of my finds and top picks from home, beauty, fashion, and more!
Smelling: I have used this detergent and scent boost for nearly a year. It's the best, and I always forget to talk about it! Laundry is such a mundane task, but this makes it smell SOOO good. My husband and I both love the scent. It's so fresh and light but warm at the same time. It's also free of any of the 'bad' stuff! It works really well at cleaning clothes, too.

Traveling: We don't have any plans until we go to Portugal in late summer. I think we will squeeze in a few summer weekend trips here and there, and of course, the lake, but otherwise, we are staying put at the moment! We loved Newport, though, and I will have the guide up soon!

Quoting: 'A leash, a path, the morning still. A wagging tail a gentle thrill. Through fields and trees we find our pace. A quiet joy, a sacred place. No need for words, just breath and breeze. A moment shared, a soul at ease.' - Thackray // See more of my favorites, here.
