Best Cashmere Wraps: Alice Walk vs. White and Warren Review

You all know how much I love cashmere wraps. I have collected so many over the years, but my go-to brands are Alice Walk and White and Warren! There are many ways to wear these cashmere pieces: as a wrap over dresses, a scarf, or a blanket during travel. Regardless of the season, I rarely leave home without one! They pair with winter coats, evening gowns, jeans, and more. I thought it would be helpful to compare the two in case you are in the market for a high-quality cashmere wrap!

Price: $245. It does go on sale, but not often.

Size: 82x29"

Material: 100% cashmere

I have: Island Green and Nantucket Red

About the brand: This is a woman-founded small business based out of the Boston area. There is a gorgeous boutique on Nantucket.

My Thoughts: This is a tighter, smoother, more structured knit than the White and Warren wrap. It doesn't 'weigh' more, but I'd say it's a touch warmer/heavier than the White and Warren because it's a tighter knit. The structure gives it a bit less fluidity. The wrap hem is done in an eyelash fray, giving it a touch of texture, style, and brand recognition. I love this for dressed-up moments year-round. Regarding colors (not neutrals), I prefer the Alice Walk color options over the White and Warren. I also love that each side of the wrap is done in the same color family but slightly different, so you almost get a two-in-one wrap.

Price: $385. It goes on sale regularly in some colors, but the neutral colors go on sale less often.

Size: 81x36"

Material: 100% cashmere, 7-gauge knit, 2-ply

I have: Black, Cream, Navy

About the brand: White and Warren is an established, woman-founded brand that is globally distributed and sold at large department stores like Nordstrom. However, it is still independently owned.

My thoughts: The White and Warren wrap is a bit softer than the Alice Walk wrap. The knit is more of an airy, open knit, but it's still substantial in warmth. The overall feel of the fabric is fluffier and loftier than AW. The way it drapes is more fluid and flexible. I would prefer to wear this as a winter scarf around my neck over the Alice Walk wrap because it's slightly softer and more flexible. I also would prefer this on my lap as a blanket on a flight, as the 7" width makes a difference when you want to use it as a blanket. So, this is a better winter travel companion than the Alice Walk wrap. This wrap comes in tons of different colors, and some colors are offered seasonally. Both sides of the wrap are all one solid color.

Final Thoughts
You truly cannot go wrong with either. I'm a big fan of both. Considering there is a substantial price difference at full price, if price is your #1 consideration, you'll definitely want to go with Alice Walk. Their price is incredibly reasonable for the high quality. Cashmere wraps are such a staple for me, so I have been collecting them for years. If you can get one of each, over the years, go for it. They are both high-quality cashmere wraps that you will have for many years to come. They are both timeless and elegant in design. As similar as they may seem, they are different, which is especially noticeable in how they are knit. I love the vibrant colors that Alice Walk offers, so I prefer to buy Alice Walk in brighter, saturated hues, and like the White and Warren wraps in neutrals for versatility when I travel.

I buy the best I can afford when it comes to cashmere wraps, considering it is a true closet staple for me. If you only see yourself using it a few times per year, you may want to consider less costly options or just look around for other options that you may prefer. There are so many great options at different price points; I'll link a few below in case you want to browse, but just can't vouch for them.

- I've seen this one in person, and it's very similar to White and Warren, just lighter weight and slightly lesser quality.

- This could be a good Island Green look for less

- This brand tends to have nice cashmere so I would think they have a good one!
