125th US Open
I was so flattered when one of you sent me a TikTok video that someone created of their favorite outfits at the US Open, and I was in it!

Blueberries from our blueberry bush! It's thriving!

I feel like I've lived several lives since last Thursday's lately post! I have been go-go-go! I've finally gotten organized and on track again, though, and it's a great feeling. Last week, Cru of Two PR invited me for a few quick days on Nantucket. They represent brands like Vineyard Vines, Reebok, Olipop, etc. PR/Brand trips can be hit or miss, but this was truly wonderful, and I feel so grateful to have been included. I get anxious about going on trips like this because I didn't know anyone! But thankfully, everyone was so nice and welcoming, and it was just a great group of people. Most other attendees were writers and worked for publications or as freelancers. They hosted us in a house on the Miacomet golf course, and it was my first time staying in that area. Not only was the house lovely, but it was just a walk away from Cisco Brewery and Bartlett's farm! We were not planning on going to Nantucket this year as we are saving up my husband's vacay days for other things, so this was a real treat!

Once I got back late in the evening, it was off to the US Open. I got my husband tickets for his birthday. Despite the somewhat questionable weather, it was so much fun. I love that Pittsburgh gets to host such a huge event like this! We dodged the rain, thankfully! Though my shoes needed a major bath after trudging through so much mud. We walked 16k steps!

Speaking of mud, the rain we have been getting is wild. Pittsburgh is one of the grayest cities in the country, so that's no surprise, but I can't remember the last time it rained almost every single day for weeks straight! Sometimes, it rains or drizzles on and off all day, or sometimes, we get a big thunderstorm that rolls in and out pretty quickly. Our hose is on vacation because I haven't had to water our plants!

By the way, I got eaten alive by mosquitoes a few weeks ago! The itching was crazy- I felt like it was itchier than usual. I tried what I had on hand, which was Vanicream HC cream, and it was OK, but many of you recommended this gel. My mom happened to have a tube on hand, and it worked so much better! So, thank you for the rec! I wanted to share in case anyone else needs it!

Besides getting into the groove this week, I have been dealing with technical issues. That's part of working for myself that can be frustrating. It's sooooo tricky whenever I have an issue, and really no one to immediately run to for help.

Wearing: I've been doing this a lot lately: I order a size in clothes, rip off the tags, wear them once, and then wish I had sized down. Does anyone else do this? I love roomy-fitting clothing for comfort, so I frequently size up in things. My most recent example is the striped sweater you see above. I love it so much- it is beautifully made, especially for the price, but it runs big. I sized up to a medium, and while I love how oversized and cozy it is, it feels a little overwhelming and sloppy when I wear it. I wish I had gotten a small or maybe even XS! Woulda, shoulda, coulda, as they say!

I also have been loving this flag cardigan. This is Ralph Lauren quality for sure, and would charge double, maybe even triple. I got this on the Nantucket trip from Vineyard Vines. It's truly a heritage piece. Size down, though. I got a small and in hindsight, wish I had gotten an XS! I reallllllly want to get Henry the matching sweater, but it's pricey and he doesn't like clothing except for his winter coat. Also, the white jeans are amazing. They are not see-through, a classic cut, and so comfortable and stretchy.

Reading: I was so excited to snag a copy of Elin's latest book, Blue Book, which is her own personal guide to Nantucket. It's such a cute book and perfect for any Nantucket or Elin Hildebrand fan. The illustrator, Meredith Hanson, is so talented and creative. She is also so sweet—I met her on a trip to the Inn at Perry Cabin a few years ago!

Sale: Did you see my discount code post earlier this week? I created a master guide of all of the discount codes I have for you all!

And Mother Denim up to 50% off- lots of great styles included. These are my top pick and one of my favorite denim styles!

Watching: I recently watched the Ocean Gate documentary on Netflix, which was very interesting and worth watching. What a tragedy. I'm also watching Better Sister on Prime, and it's good- not my favorite, but still worth the watch. Did we talk about the end of Sirens? Did anyone like that ending? I won't spoil it but I thought the ending was just OK.

Loving: I popped into Target yesterday and spotted these swimsuits and thougth they were both so cute!

Wanting:
I haven't seen a bag I've loved in a long time, and wow, this is GORGEOUSThese dried strawberries are $82, which I consider to be a crazy price for a small jar. However, consider me intrigued because they have hundreds of rave reviews. Would you buy $82 dried strawberries?! I ordered this skirtThese pants are giving Missoni for just $30. Cute gold block heel sandals at a nice priceClassic, easy linen shorts for $25. This skirt is GOOD- Lisa Birnbach would approve! I actually think I'm going to go with the madras shirt over the skirt because I think the shirt would look so cute with white jeans or white linen shorts! A pretty printed sundress with a fun back! This adorable $20 top looks like something Shopbop would sell! I like the colors on these sneakers. This is such a cute white leather and raffia crossbodyThis sweater jacket is back in stock- I've been debating it! A lovely summer cocktail dress. A sleek but punchy black tie wedding guest dress. I love the shape of these flats so much! I want the dark brown for fall, but the black is on sale right now, and I love the texture on those. These earrings are so fun! Another pair of buckle slides that could be promisingEspadrilles that are atop my wish list. A body sunscreen that I really want to try! Has anyone tried these earbuds? I am intrigued! I got an IG ad for this, and I added it to my cart. I thought it would be perfect for carrying drinks from the house to the dock for cocktail cruises this summer! A gorgeous embroidered jacket. A classic and polished blazer at a great price. This sweater is pretty and on sale, though I wonder what is going on with Brooks Brothers... the whole thing feels very Club Monaco- which also sold to private equity.

Pittsburgh: Two things I'm looking forward to are Picklesburg, which is July 11-13. I'm always away for it so I'm excited to finally be home to experience it! Little Italy Days are August 14th-17th, and it's always a fun time!
Amazon Rec: The sandals keep getting taken down, but they're back for now and Prime shipping!

Smelling: I am so excited to get this candle soon! I've been itching to give it a whiff. I'm so intrigued by all of these tomato-forward scents. There hasn't been one I've sniffed and disliked!
