If you've been here for years, first of all, thank you! Secondly, do you remember the playlists I used to share? I haven't made a really good one in so long! But I am very motivated because I am running a 5k on Friday! I wanted to make an upbeat playlist filled with songs to get me moving. I took to Instagram to ask you all to share one of your favorite motivational songs for running, and you all delivered! A 5k is not a very long time, but this playlist is filled with over 3 hours of music! I don't know about you, but when I am working out, if I am controlling the music, I have to have a song I really want to listen to and am in the mood for, so I tend to skip here and there, so the more songs the better!
This playlist has many explicit songs! You can either use it as inspiration to create your own and then find the 'clean' versions, or you don't have to listen to it at all.
In baseball, each player chooses a walkout song, and I love the idea of that. My walkout song would be "Smile Back" by Mac Miller. There is a 'clean' version, but if you listened to the song, you really need the swear words for the full effect. It makes me run SO fast. It's also the song I listen to before I give any presentations or speaking engagements. It just hypes me up in the best way. Whenever I tell people this, they are always surprised. But I am a Mac Miller gal- it's the Pittsburgher in me!
Anyway, there are plenty of appropriate songs in the playlist, too, but I just wanted to give you a very clear heads up before you hit play!
Put it on shuffle so you get the full range. I am not a runner, but it's just fun to do the morning of the 4th. My sister and brother-in-law will be in town, which I am so excited about! I tried to recruit my sister to run it, but she declined. So, one of us will be sweaty showing up to the club to hang out by the pool, and one of us will not. Will I regret it? Possibly, ha! Though if it is sweltering, I will bail, but the weather is looking good (knock on wood)!
