Sharing some outfits that I've worn in the last week or two! Many haven't even made it to social media yet- I've been behind on social media due to the holiday. My sister and brother-in-law were in town, so we had lots of plans together, and I tried to be as present as possible!
This week, I will highlight two sales: Prime Day and the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I'll post my Prime Day picks tomorrow, and then I'll have my Nordstrom sale posted on Wednesday, the 9th!
I wore this dress out to dinner at Chengdu Gourmet. I'll share more about the restauarnt in Thursday's Lately post, but jokes on me for bringing the cashmere wrap because their air conditioning was broken. I definitely did not need that wrap! The dress runs true to size and is one of those great dresses you can throw on and look cute in the heat of the summer. I'm not a big spaghetti strap gal. I have really broad shoulders and I find that thin straps like that don't look the best on me but I like that these straps are on the very outer edge of the chest- a great design detail. I'm wearing a size small.
Linen Coverup (on sale)// Hat
I wore this to the club on the 4th! I was SO hot from running the 5k that morning that it was the best feeling ever to plunge into the pool! I don't typically get in the water and definitely don't get my hair wet, but I just jumped right in and it was bliss! Mesh Tank// Similar Skirt (mine is old Target)
The 5k was so much fun but also tough. There were so many hills! Toward the end of the race it also started to get hotter, which also wasn't ideal. Am I a runner now?! NO! Once a year running outside is enough for me. I will be gladly retreating back to my Orange Theory treadmill complete with personal fan!
You can buy the sneakers many places but I'm linking to Nordstrom because they will be $45 off in the sale. These sneakers rarely go on sale, so this is one of those things that I think is a great deal. They're my favorite shoes ever for walking. I am not being dramatic when I say that they have changed my life. I have crazy high arches and these have so much support and comfort. I don't like them for Orange Theory and I can now say I also don't like them for outdoor running. BUT, they're they best for walking.
Another good example of natural fibers under $100- this cute linen-cotton blend pajama set. The shorts are short, which I am totally fine with in a pajama set like this, but just wanted to point that out. You could also wear this top as 'regular' clothing and I think the set would be adorable as a swimsuit coverup.
