Brightening Eye Cream Top// Lightly Tinted Moisturizer Bottom
I wanted to share two skincare products that I am fanatical about. They are slightly tinted, but they're definitely skincare products rather than makeup. They are what I wear on no-makeup days. I love to try new skincare products. It's obviously part of my job to try new things and review them for you all; however, I think it'd be a hobby for me even if this weren't my job. I try to fit in at least one, but ideally, three no-makeup days per week. Of course, 'regular' skincare is perfectly fine, but this skincare duo is the perfect thing to brighten and even out my skintone without committing to foundation while also reaping the benefits of skincare.
Let’s start with the Lightly Tinted Moisturizer. This is ever so lightly tinted. Instead of adding coverage, it evens out my skintone and adds a healthy glow. It’s packed with skincare benefits: hydration, blue light protection, and antioxidants. It blurs imperfections and adds radiance without feeling heavy. What I love most is how breathable and lightweight it feels. The tint adjusts beautifully to my skin tone and leaves me looking refreshed and put-together. It's not a heavy moisturizer, making it a good choice for those who tend to get oily. I have combination skin, so if my skin is feeling particularly dry, I like to add a hyaluronic serum underneath. I would recommend this one or this one. This is pricey, but right now it's on sale in the Dermstore anniversary sale, and my code SUMMERWIND will give you the maximum discount available at checkout.
Speaking of Natura Bisse, it's one of my favorite skincare brands that I only recently discovered in the last 5 or so years. It's a private, family-owned skincare brand (that is tough to find these days)! It's a brand you often see in high-end spas and hotels. It's pricey. I fell in love with their tinted eye cream a few years ago. It's very similar to the face cream. It's $190, but a bottle does last me about a year. Anyway, I brought this up because I ended up trying the Brightening Eye Cream, which is a fraction of the NB price. I prefer it not only because of its more palatable price, but also because it has a brightening effect that the NB eye cream lacks. It has since become a staple. It has a peachy tint that brightens and color-corrects in one step. As someone who has dark circles, no matter how much or little sleep I get, I’m always surprised by how much more awake I look after dabbing this on. The formula contains caffeine to help with puffiness and hyaluronic acid to hydrate and smooth fine lines, making it a versatile product that serves as both skincare and a subtle concealer alternative. It gives a luminous finish but never sparkly, and doesn't look like I'm wearing anything under my eyes. It pairs so nicely with the Lightly Tinted Moisturizer.
Together, these two products create the kind of finish I’ve always wanted on no-makeup days: even, bright, and healthy-looking skin. You can see the before and after photo at the top. It's very subtle. It’s the kind of routine that takes under two minutes but makes me feel like I slept eight hours, drank all my water, and didn’t just roll out of bed.
