Happy Autumn! It’s officially my favorite season... even if I’m over here twiddling my thumbs waiting for cooler temps to arrive. September is always a bit of a gamble, so I can’t say I’m surprised that it’s been hovering in the mid-80s. Though I'm still wearing sundresses, I can’t help but get excited about autumnal fashion. September through December are my absolute favorite fashion months, and this year’s fashion feels especially good. I’ve been seeing so many preppy and classic pieces across different brands. It’s truly the best fall fashion I’ve seen in years. What do you all think?!
Tuckernuck kindly sent me these Burgundy Pants, and I pinch myself every time they send something over since it’s the brand I wear most often. I actually own this same style in a Kelly green cord fabric from a few years back, and loved them, so I was thrilled to add another pair to my closet. They’re pull-on, stretchy, and comfortable. They have a flat front, slim fit through the hips and thighs, and a subtle flare that hits just above the ankle. I’m wearing my true size small, which I’d equate to about a size 4. Overall, I'd say they run generously considering they have a lot of stretch to them. For reference, I’m 5’6” and usually wear a size 27 in jeans.
Overall, this style is classic. These are the type of pants you'd see someone like Jackie O, Audrey Hepburn, or, my fictional favorite, Samantha Stevens, wearing. I love that these pants come in so many different fabrics and colors!
What I really love is how versatile they are. The deep wine shade is richer and more neutral than you might expect, making it easy to pair with so many pieces already in my wardrobe. The faux suede fabric (with plenty of stretch) enhances the richness of the color and feels quintessentially fall. Today I’m sharing four ways to style them. Even if you don't plan on ordering these exact pants, hopefully, this inspires you to whip out your burgundy pants this autumn and style them up!
When I pulled these pants out of the box, I immediately grabbed my new shoes that I got in Portugal to see if they were a perfect color match, and they were. It's the little things! This outfit is put together but very comfortable and laidback.
