Lately

Out to dinner at Bougain the other night!

Beef Tartare- sooooo delish!

Corleone, an Italian restaurant, we enjoyed!

One of the popular views that you see all over social media.

Blue and white everywhere!

Our hotel, which we are loving!

Bom dia! Hope you are all having a great, abbreviated week. I cannot believe it is September. My favorite months are the 'ber' months, so I am ready! I typically don't love summer, and despite it being sweltering almost every day, I enjoyed it more than usual, and I can't put my finger on why!

First, thank you all for being so thoughtful to check in on us after some of you heard the news of the funicular accident in Lisbon yesterday. I actually had no idea anything had happened until I opened my Instagram and saw so many messages asking if we were OK! I then quickly figured out what happened. We are fine. We are about 45 minutes outside of Lisbon on the coast in Cascais. We're heading to Lisbon tomorrow, and, surprisingly, we are staying in the very same area where the accident happened. I am so thankful we are OK! The funiculars are similar to the cable cars in San Francisco, given the area's hilly terrain. I have no experience, as we haven't yet reached the area, but that's the one we would have grabbed from our hotel, so I am thanking my lucky stars we are OK. What a scary and tragic situation. I am sending all of my love and prayers to anyone affected.

Outside of hearing the news of that horrible accident, we are enjoying our trip. A significant time change always wipes me out, though. It's only 5 hours, so it's not horrible, but enough to make the mornings a little rough! I am regimented in my sleep schedule at home, and I just get so out of whack when that changes! Worth it, though. If you haven't explored Portugal, it's definitely worth adding to your list; it's incredible! Our days have been filled with exploring. It is amazing how much there is to do and see. Yesterday we took a day trip to Sintra, which was neat, and we definitely got a workout in! We are staying at a resort-style hotel, so hopefully today we are really able to relax and enjoy the amenities because we have just been 'go, go, go'!

In fashion news, I am so excited to see so many fall new arrivals from some of my favorite brands... ahem, J.Crew! My favorite J.Crew season is September through December! I'm experiencing seasonal confusion because I'm dressing for summer on this vacation, but I'm seeing so much fall on social media and my favorite sites! The Tuckernuck x Barbour collection drops TODAY! I am so excited to see that and potentially snag something. I am a big Barbour fan. I really love this jacket as it is the most classic, but this tan quilted jacket is soooo tempting! I can only assume this is going to be a quick sell-out.

Cardigan (you can try SYDNEY20, it might work)// Shorts

Wearing: I'm updating my ShopMy with my Portugal outfits and will share more here once home, but these are a few things I wore last week!

Are you following me on the LikeToKnowIt app?! You can shop all of my outfits, favorite finds, and more in the app. I am constantly updating it with the latest! You can also access all of my posts, here, if you don't use LTK! You can also find me on ShopMy, another shopping platform!

Eating: Pastel de nata is a Portuguese custard tart, which is good! My favorite traditional Portuguese meal that we have had so far was Cataplana, which is Portuguese fish stew made in a copper pot. I will be dreaming of that meal for the rest of time. It was SO good!!! I also love the Bifana, which is a type of pork sandwich! And, of course, Farturas, which are like a cross between a churro and funnel cake. The food is SO good here.

Sale: Ultraboost sneakers on sale! A fave of mine and works for running, walking, and Orange Theory/any HIIT workout.

Watching:
I just saw that season 5 of Stranger Things is coming out at the end of November! I loved the last season and had no idea there would be another. You can watch the trailer here. I watched the first few episodes of The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3, and I am hooked! Can't wait to watch more on my flight home! Is it cheesy? Yes, but it's still worth watching!

Listening: I can't get enough of this guy playing sax to popular music. I LOVE saxophone and I feel like there is not enough sax in music these days!

Loving: I saw these two items when I was out and about that caught my eye! The lacquer table looks like something from Ballard Designs. I don't have anywhere in my home where it would fit, but it's a great piece... it looks much nicer in person. And the ballet flats are so chic. I saw some just like that in Madewell, but when I saw these, I actually liked them better!

Loving II: I originally ordered this for my husband, who has very sensitive skin and is prone to redness. He loves it and praises it so much that I decided to try it out, and now we both use it. The spray is so full and fine, it feels wonderful to apply! It's under $20 and soothes and calms the skin. It's great for travel, after workouts, or whenever you need a little refresh. This brand has received seals of approval for eczema and rosacea, so you may want to check it out if you suffer from either condition. We are also using and loving the face wash. It's very basic, so it's nothing to rave about, but it works and doesn't strip my skin! It's under $20, and an especially great deal because it's a large bottle.

Wanting:
Love the update on these boots! I got last year's style and wore them SO much. A practical and cute rain jacket that comes in a few pretty neutral tones. This jacket!!! This is the perfect shade of red and the level of coziness I aspire to all fall and winter long! I love this yellow jacket! It looks like something you would have seen in the LL Bean catalog in 1988. This black top is CHIC! I love how it dips in both the back and front! This tweed dress is adorable but also giving Emily Gilmore. I have and love this basic sweater in (other colors), and this merlot shade is stunning for fall! I also love this 'coffee' shade for loungewear for fall/winter! I've been so into bandana prints lately, and these pants are so fun! I'm holding off until Lisbon later this week, but I'm eyeing this bandana scarf, too. This cashmere cableknit is a classic! So many good new J.Crew arrivals. Love to see so many preppy staples! My husband loves vests, and this suede version is stunning. This cashmere cardigan comes in so many other colors this year, and I am so glad. I have it in cream and wear it often. It's so chic! I love the rich burgundy hue. A fabulous and neutral cape jacket for autumn! I know the spezials are super 'in' right now, but everyone in Portugal seems to be wearing these in the brown suede. I've always been more of a gazelle gal, but consider me influenced. I like the idea of brown for fall, too.

Amazon Rec: This tissue box is brilliant! Such a great space saver.

You can find more of my Amazon favorites, here on my Amazon page where I am constantly updating it with all of my finds and top picks from home, beauty, fashion, and more!

Traveling: In October, we are off to Boston and Maine. We are heading to Boston to visit our friends who live there, and then we will all go on a road trip up the coast to Maine. I'm thrilled because I have never been to Maine- the furthest up I've gone is Portsmouth, NH!
