We got 6" of snow on Monday night!
Corned beef and cabbage for St. Patrick's Day!
The most beautiful radishes I scored this week!
I hope you are all having a great week! Not a lot is going on over here worth noting! I've been doing a lot behind the scenes, still catching up and working ahead as much as possible, since I am headed to Florida next week with my mom and a family friend! I am so excited, especially considering we got 6 inches of snow on Tuesday. Though I have to admit, the snow was actually very pretty, and I knew it would melt quickly, so it didn't bother me much!
Did you all do anything fun for St. Patrick's Day? We went to my parents' house for dinner. Every year, my mom makes the most delicious corned beef and cabbage, which is one of my all-time favorite meals. It was delicious! Cabbage is one of my favorite vegetables. Sometimes I just sautee it in a pan with some onions, garlic, and seasoning/spices, and it's divine!
I have been seeing the silly conversation about body lotion on social media over the last few weeks, with people debating whether it's common to apply body lotion after every shower. It has me cracking up because it's never something I've thought about with much depth. I just assumed most apply lotion post-shower. I do, after every single shower, regardless of season! Do you all apply moisturizer?! I can't imagine how dry my skin would be if I didn't use lotion!
Another 'debate' I keep seeing is about whether people shower in the morning or the evening. My hairstylist and I were actually just talking about this, too! I shower in the evening and always have. I cannot imagine going to bed without showering. I think there is nothing better than getting into clean sheets after a shower. In the summer, I sometimes shower multiple times depending on what I do that day, but always at night! I think both lotion and shower times are personal choices, and I fully support you doing you, but I think it's so interesting to hear about the small things that differ in people's day-to-day lives.
Wearing: I am loving this cheery Yellow Rain Jacket! I got it for a sponsorship I did with Lands' End on Instagram, and now I'm just waiting for another rainy day to wear it. The yellow color is timeless and really makes me happy, especially on a dreary day. I shared with you all on IG how it reminds me of these duck umbrellas from Barney in the 90s. I wanted one SO badly- it would pair nicely with my new yellow rain jacket, ha!!

Eating: I randomly added these Balsamic Vinegar Crackers to my grocery order (from Walmart) because they sounded good, and I am so glad to report that they are delicious! I am not gluten-free, but whenever I see a cracker box that says 'almond flour,' I buy them because it makes the cracker so crisp and crunchy! I love the texture! Anyway, these are similar in texture to the Nut-Thins crackers, and the balsamic flavor is so tart and vibrant. I think any type of cheese, with a touch of olive oil or honey, would pair so nicely with this!
Sale: Frame is doing their 25% off Friends and Family sale! I love Frame, but it is so pricey, so it's nice to snag pieces on sale.
The big Baublebar sale ends on 3/22! Here are my top picks!
J.McLaughlin just sent over a code for me to share with you all! SYDNEY15 gives you 15% off through the end of the month!
Watching: I am reporting back that I am fully caught up on Paradise and loving it! The first 2ish episodes felt so different from the first season, but now it's all coming together better, and I'm so into it!
Listening: I found myself listening to Enya this week, which is so very random, but it was fun! Orinoco Flow, Only Time, and Caribbean Blue are my top faves.
Loving: This brand sent Henry their freeze-dried dog food (once, but now we are paying customers, this is not sponsored!), and while Henry will eat just about anything, I am always curious to see what he truly loves. Because it is freeze-dried, it feels like a cleaner, more nutritious option than most traditional kibble, so I was especially excited to try it.
As expected, Henry liked it, but what surprised me was that he absolutely loves it.
My husband and I split feeding Henry, depending on who is around in the evening, and we have our Alexa set to go off at 7:30 every night, so it is basically Pavlov’s dog in real life. What I did not realize is that my husband had started topping Henry’s dinner, but not breakfast, with the We Feed Raw kibble.
One night, the dinner alarm went off, and I fed Henry as usual, completely forgetting about the topper. After he finished, he kept following me around, staring at me in the most intense way. He looked frustrated. We laughed it off and assumed he was just being funny.
The same thing happened the next night. And then again the night after that.
By the third night, we were both confused until my husband asked if I had been giving him the We Feed Raw. I realized I had completely forgotten about it. That is when it clicked. Henry was not just being goofy; he was upset that I skipped his favorite part of dinner.
The next night, I added the We Feed Raw back in, and he was back to his happy self. We could not stop laughing.
We have tried a lot of foods with Henry, and while he enjoys most things, there is a clear difference when he really loves something, and this is one of those times.
Even more telling, my parents’ dog Buddy is very picky. He eats the same base kibble as Henry but usually prefers human food, and even then, he is selective. While we were watching him, I added some We Feed Raw as a topper, and he ate every single piece of WFR first. We brought some with us to Florida, and he did the same thing at every meal.
At this point, both dogs are fully converted, so they have gained two new customers in us. Anyway, I think what you feed your dog is so personal, but I would give this a try if you are looking for something good. It's as easy to store and feed as regular kibble, but it has cleaner ingredients than the kibble we typically feed Henry. I am a paying customer, but they gave me a code, SYDNEYCARVERSNYDERxWFR, for 50% off your first order. I used my own code for my first order!
Wanting: Boot season is nearing the end (thank goodness), but wow, I love these tall boots. I love this dress that comes in both black and red. This is a pretty swim cover-up! Another good, albeit pricey, swim pareo! These towels are SO cute. Lots of new arrivals from Spanx. I particularly love the new ribbed material! Wouldn't mind seeing this in my Easter basket!! Oh, wait, I don't get an Easter basket, ha! Love this red suede tote soooo much. How fun are these espadrille flats! Things I've loved while browsing for my husband: these swim trunks and this knit polo. These phone cases are gorgeous! This is such a pretty necklace. Love the colors in this jacket. This sun hat looks sooo $$ but is under $60! I've never heard of this brand before, but this dress is lovely! This necklace looks like something Meredith Blake might have worn! This pillow is too good! This green set is perfect if you are headed to a Masters party! I'm going to order these garden gloves because they're cute and I like how they go up the arm more than the ones that I have. They definitely look more heavy-duty! I actually can't believe it, but I am excited to garden again this year. Our peach tree is budding! I didn't think it would make it through the winter! A very cute swim wrap under $100. I wish I had somewhere in my home for this side table. It's lovely and definitely reminds me of S+L! A timeless dress in a pretty and unique color! This print is fabulous! An adorable little tote for spring/summer. I would, at times, accessorize with a scarf or some charms. This is such a nice dress for under $150! I love this sweatshirt and the new light blue color is so pretty... I prefer it over the gray I have! Love the color combo on this striped sweater (my code SUMMERWIND10 should work on this).
Pittsburgh: The Symphony's Pops programming was just announced! Definitely some good ones in there that I will be attending!
Amazon Rec: I've been loving all the nostalgic '90s content on social media set to the Goo Goo Dolls. It's bringing back so many things I forgot about! Though not '90s, this is more early-2000s, but I think I am going to order these for summer. Feels right.
