This post is all about neutral, classic wardrobe staples that you can wear year round. I've said this time and time again here on Summer Wind, but a crisp, classic white button down shirt is an absolute essential for everyone. Literally, young, old, man, woman, it's a closet necessity for all!
I've written about this shirt in detail in past posts and you can read more detail about the different fits and sizing, here. One of my favorite outfits is denim paired with a crisp white shirt and either heels or ballet flats. This time around, I chose to wear heels because I was headed downtown to the William Penn Hotel for lunch in their Terrace Room (full post with details to come!). I needed to be a little more 'dressed' than ballet flats and these nude pumps did just the trick!
It was unseasonably warm, so I opted to carry along my favorite cashmere wrap. I take this wrap everywhere as if I was a child and it was my blanket. It's so perfect in almost every situation and matches pretty much everything in my winter wardrobe! I posted about this sale before, but select colors are on sale here for about $100 off, which is a great deal in my book!
Was it warm where you were this weekend? I just loved the weather and it got me so excited for spring. Last night, when I was walking to my car after dinner, it even smelled like spring. It sounds weird, but I stood there for a minute just taking in that amazing spring scent and the warm breeze. It was short lived because it is supposed to snow later this week, but only a few more weeks until we are snow free entirely!!!!
