My love for Barbour as a brand runs deep. I can always count on the brand to have the absolute best quality pieces that are made to last for years and years. All of the styles are timeless classics that are great for all ages and for both men and women. Not to mention, Barbour makes a jacket that fits within most lifestyles or climates.

I have several Barbour jackets and this Ashby jacket is the newest to the bunch! It's labeled as a men's jacket, but really they're unisex. I decided to get this one because it comes in black. I have navy and olive and sage in my other Barbour jackets (last posted about, here), and while they all pair with black, I really wanted a jacket that felt slightly more 'town' rather than 'country'.

My wardrobe in the winter mainly consists of black so it's nice to have a classic jacket that can pair seamlessly with my outfits while living downtown. I find that Barbour jackets are more on the casual side, so having one in black makes it feel slightly dressier.

The Ashby jacket I am wearing is somewhat similar to the Bedale style. It's made of sylkoil wax cotton like many of other Barbour jackets (which is water repellant!). The Ashby is considered slightly more tailored than the Bedale. Since it is a men's jacket, I got it in a size small. It's roomy (almost oversized) which is great because I can wear thick/chunky sweaters underneath during the coldest winter days.

One of my favorite things about many of the Barbour jacket styles are the warming pockets that are above the bellow pockets. They always come in handy on the coldest of days. I also love the vented hem at the back of the coat. It makes moving around and sitting really easy and comfortable!

I wore this on a weekend to walk around downtown and then eventually grab some lunch! It was windy and chilly so this was the perfect comfortable outfit. This sweater fits more like a cozy sweatshirt but is made of a sweater knit. It's beyond comfortable and really easy to wear, not to mention, it's under $40 and comes in a bunch of colors!
