What to Wear For A Casual Dinner Out

I never met a blue and white stripe I didn't like. I also love tied-up tops, so this tee (under $50) is a match made in heaven. It was the perfect thing to wear out to one of my favorite casual dinner spots in the city, Bakersfield, one evening!

Bakersfield is a super casual Mexican restaurant specializing in tacos, tequila, and whiskey located on Penn Avenue downtown! I live only a few blocks away and it's so nice to be able to walk over and meet friends. Bakersfield is located in 7 cities, so check out to see if your city has a location. They have pitchers of margaritas, delicious guacamole, and my favorite taco is their Al Pastor.

It is definitely one of those restaurants where you could be super casual- but I also like to dress nicely when going out for dinner, so this outfit is very representative of something I typically wear to most summer dinners out. The tee runs large, so definitely size down. I love the crisp look to the fabric and the tie at the waist adds some fun and interest.

I'm like a broken record with these white jeans. They've been featured in so many posts and are one of my most worn pieces of clothing in my closet. They're opaque, have a very slight stretch, a great length, and very comfortable and flattering. They run true to size! While they're a little pricey, they're worth every penny, in my opinion!

And how fun are these earrings? They're something a little out of my comfort zone, as I typically prefer classic stud earrings, but I really think they add a little 'oomph' that this outfit needed!

Bakersfield is great. The original is in Cincinnati (where I'm from) so its nice to hear quality carries over to other markets. If you like spicy, try a jalapeno margarita!
