Wedding Photos Part I

We got some of our wedding photos back and I am SO excited to share them with you all. Artichoke Weddings did our photos and video and they were all shot by Matt, Lindsay, and Derek. They are for hire and travel! My husband went to high school and college with Matt and he is just so talented! We love all of the photos they took for us and we can't wait to see the other photos and video!

Also this post is so fitting because it is our one month anniversary, haha! I cannot believe this day was already a month ago! It was all such a blur but at the same time I remember it all so clearly.

I have so much to share in the coming weeks so today, I thought I would share just some of my favorite photos and no words/explanations, no linking, etc. I'm a little overwhelmed with all of the photos and all that I want to share so I feel like this is a good place to start. Since there are so many photos I want to share, I am going to share photos through our church ceremony. You're going to have to scroll quite a bit, there are a LOT of photos! Then, I'll do another similar style post and do after the church ceremony. And finally, then I can move to specifics by topic like linking things, dress, rentals, linens, thoughts after having our wedding, etc. I know I have a million and one questions from all of you guys and I know you are all waiting for lots of very specific details, and I promise I will work hard to get that all put together in the most conicse way I can ASAP! But in short, the day was truly perfect and it was 1000% worth the wait. When people say 'best day ever', I get it now!!

Note: this is not a private address, it is the address of our venue.

Little Blue Summer Dress

Headband (back in stock!!!)

Random Side note: My husband's chino shorts are his very favorite! He loves them more than J.Crew and other higher-end brands! They're under $20 and fit true to size. If you put them side-by-side to J.Crew's chino shorts, they're practically identical. He likes the 7" length (he's 6'2").

Can you believe we are just days away from September? Closing out the last few days of August sharing this dress that I have worn many times now and have gotten lots of interest in! Unfortunately, it was an old purchase.

I originally bought his dress in either late 2019 or very early 2020 as a dress to wear on our June 2020 honeymoon. Well, that didn't happen, but I did end up wearing it for Sunday brunch the day after our wedding. It's Caroline Constas and it was a bit of a splurge but I did get it on a good sale! It's a seersucker fabric with gingham print and it's pretty casual but the silhouette with the fuller skirt makes it a little dressier, in my opinion. Anyway, it was not available in my size so I ordered it a few sizes larger and took it to a tailor and they fit it just perfect for me! That's my biggest tip if you love something and it's on sale but not in your size, get a larger size or two and your tailor can make it work!

So I re-wore it this past weekend. Our club had a 'yacht rock' themed party and I felt like it was the perfect thing for the occasion! It was absolutely sweltering so I was glad I wore something lightweight!!
So one of you let me know that a super similar dress is currently available and on sale!! I shared on my Instagram stories but I moved some blog posts around so I could post about it today because I know it will sell out quickly!

Do not sleep on Brooks Brothers website! It's not just all businesswear. There are so many cute items and most are on major sale! I have snagged many pieces on sale in the last few months that are so well-made and very classic!

Ok and then in my search for a few more similar options, I found this black gingham dress and it looks so similar in terms of silhouette. It's only $40! Since it's black, I think you could definitely transition it nicely into September!
