Stanley Adventure Quencher Travel Tumbler 40 oz. Review
Back in stock today at 12pm EST.

I drink a ton of water each day. It had always been on my 'to do' list to drink more water but for years I felt like I had always been failing that a bit. Well, for the past several years I have been so good at making sure I am hydrated. I would say that it is solely due to the fact that I take a large tumbler with me everywhere I go. It sits at my desk with me, in my car, etc.

For the longest time, I was using this RTIC tumbler. It's a great tumbler and especially for the low price. I still think this is a great option! My RTIC tumbler is 30 oz (although they do offer a 40 oz option now). It had a lid that you push on, fit in a cup holder and a flip-top spout where you could sip form. I put a straw in the spout area to make it easier to drink from. Anyway, it held up amazingly and was great. There were definitely some small things that annoyed me about it, though.

Enter in the Stanley Adventure Quencher Travel Tumbler 40 oz.. It has a cult following and that's really weird to say about a cup. I've seen it everywhere and it's so popular that it sells out in minutes once it comes back in stock. It's also $40 which, in my opinion, is a bit pricey for a tumbler. But I eventually caved after seeing it everywhere. If you all follow Things I Bought and Liked, she put her stamp of approval on it, so I figured, OK, let's try it out.

It should tell you something if I am doing a full blog post about a tumbler- it's that good. Worth every single penny and I fully understand why they sell out within minutes. Just look at the copious 5-star reviews. People are passionate about this tumbler, myself included. They are literally selling on eBay for $70+ which is crazy.

Pros:
-Holds 40 oz and fits in my cupholder which is pretty hard to find. I see a lot of 32 oz. cups that will fit in a cup holder, but 40 oz is a bit trickier.

- The handle is amazing. It's heavy when it's full (obviously) and so the handle is so nice to have. My RTIC cup did not have a handle and this alone is a game-changer.

- It's insulated. I have only ever used it for water but it says that it keeps drinks cold for 11 hours and hot for 7 hours. I honestly wouldn't know because I drink from it constantly.

- This is a weirdly specific one but I love that you can either drink from the lid OR use a straw. You could do this with the RTIC tumbler, however. the hole where you put the straw was always so big so the straw was able to come out of the cup or spill. You could tell it just wasn't made to be used with a straw. This one has an actual hole meant for a straw that is made for this specific cup. The straw doesn't fall out and the cup won't' spill out if you slosh it around a bit when full.

- I love that this lid screws on instead of just pushes down into place. It's less likely to come off and spill. I have knocked my RTIC tumbler over a time or two and the lid had popped off because it did not screw securely down.

- It's super easy to wash. There are not a million and one parts to deal with.

- I love all of the color options. I got cream just because that was the only one in stock when I went to order. I'm not going to order a second one for myself but if I did, I'd order the 'granite' color. That would have been my first choice.

Cons:
- I wish there was some sort of rubber boot like my Hydroflask has.

- I wish there was a lid that you could use when you want to use it for workouts. So something that fully seals off and won't spill... maybe like a straw that flips up (like this!!). I do use my Hydroflask for workouts, so I don't really 'need' this feature, but it would make it even more worth the price if it had this option!

- I had to pay $6.95 in shipping when I ordered mine. I am not sure if that is still the case or if there is a free shipping option now, but at $40 for a tumbler, I feel that the shipping should be free.

Because they sell out quickly, if you don't snag one on the Stanely website, it looks like Williams Sonoma is allowing you to preorder for delivery right before Christmas. Kind of wild to order just a cup and wait months for it to arrive but a good alternative to make sure you snag before Christmas! And it will be worth the wait. It would also make SUCH a good holiday gift for someone who is hard to shop for. I feel like this would be a welcome item for literally anyone!
