I love our guest bedroom! I've shared it here on my website before and I'm always so proud to have guests stay in our extra room. I tried to make it serene and super comfortable and want my guests to feel like they are staying at a hotel!
I guess technically, we have two guest rooms, but we converted one of them into my office which has been so great.
Besides when we have guests stay at our home, the guest bathroom and guest bedroom don't really get any use. Occasionally, I go in there for a change of scenery or to just take a moment to relax because I find the space so peaceful. But, I am always sure to clean and prep the guest bedroom and bath before the company arrives!
With the holiday season coming up, I thought it would be a good idea to start prepping the guest space ahead of time. One less thing to think about as the holidays approach and more time to enjoy the season!
I think having an amenities basket for overnight house guests is always such a nice touch and so easy to execute. I usually fill my basket with items that someone may forget. I'm always able to find things for the basket at Walmart. They carry so many household items at everyday low prices and I am able to either pick them up or have them delivered.
In this basket I have filled it with:
- Lip Balm
These are just some ideas and what I have put in my basket. I like to change it up from time to time- the sky is the limit! You can personalize the basket for particular guests, too!
