My long time readers know that I have a love for Talbots clothing. I used to work at Talbots Kids when I was in high school before the sadly closed their doors. I admittingly used to frequent both stores for their well-priced high-quality clothing, but now I just have to stick to Talbots. When Talbots Kids closed, I was lucky enough to be able to pick out whatever I wanted and got a huge percentage off on the day that they closed their doors for good. I literally filled a huge box of clothing for my sister and I. Talbots closed in around September of 2008, so I had started my first year of college. So, I had my mother go in on the last day to pick up and pay for the large box of clothing. When they came to visit for parents weekend, they toted all of my new "kids" clothing with them so I could get some wear out of it. I am so lucky I had the opportunity because it was really like getting a new wardrobe. A lot of my clothing that I often times get compliments on is Talbots Kids. When people ask, they are shocked; well, 1. being that I'm 20 years old and wearing childrens clothing, and 2. that I can still fit into the sizes. This whole rant is because it is 2 years later and I finally wore this adorable multi-colored seersucker skort from TK this weekend and I am in love all over again! I took a picture of it on me, but of course, the awful camera on my BlackBerry doesn't do the skirt justice. However, since I'm still sans camera, I will post the pictures anyway. Again, awful pictures. I am going to wear this again soon and try to get a much better picture for you all. The skirt is not too long and not too short--it's just the perfect length. Plus, as an added bonus, it has knit shorts underneath (most likely for little girls who like to run around and turn somersaults) but they add comfort, and it's always nice to know that there is no chance of pulling a Brittney in this skirt!
Have you ever purchased anything for yourself from a children's store? I am a big fan of doing this. When I can fit into the sizes, I always find the most darling things. I especially love the Ralph Lauren childen's clothing because it is less expensive and they have such fun colors. Plus, there is little to no chance that any one else will be wearing the same thing.. well unless your around many children! Have a fabulous day!
Yours,
sCe

I love Talbots!
Oh my goodness, I absolutely love that skirt!!! It looks adorable on you! Too bad it's not available anymore :(
That skirt is so cute! I just bought a Ralph Lauren Kid's dress that looks a lot like that skirt! It has the same colors and it's also striped. Have a fabulous day!
That is so cute! I often do the same thing too, especially tanks and accessories from Crewcuts and the Target kids section! They have the cutest stuff and no one would ever know it is from the kids section! Have a great day! xox!
Super cute skirt! I love it!
I buy dresses in the limited too and justice and wear them as tunics with tights or leggings...they are super cute and usually not too low cut like many of the tunics I find and they are the perfect length, plus if u can find their clerance items they are usually around 10 to 15 dollars!
I love the skirt and I never would have guessed that it was a kid's skirt!
I have always been a Talbots girl. Classic!!
I love the Lacoste kid polos! They fit better and cost less!
Fun story... and awesome skirt! I bet you would look cute in these seersucker shorts and jacket too!

I too wear Talbots kids. I have several of their cotton pique shift dresses. I wear size 16 in the kids clothing. I discovered far too late that I wear the kids clothes. My kids are still wearing them. My youngest has a few years of hand me downs. I wish I had stocked up because I can wear them a long time and leave them as vintage clothes for my kids.
I often ask them to bring their kids line back. We are stuck with Justice , Limited Too. No comparison
