Talbots Kids, Gap Kids, Am I a Kid?
I just had to share these two outfits featuring kids clothing. I swear all of you are going to think that all I do is shop at children's stores, but I assure that I own some grown up things! Apologies again for the bad picture quality, I'm not getting a new camera until a few days before I return to school, so the BB pictures will only need to be endured for another week or so.
The first outfit I really love. I got the navy and white striped tank from Gap Kids and really bought it to wear with pajamas or my "jorts" for a really comfortable/casual look. For some reason I was just itching to wear the tank top that day and had a birthday party to attend so I dressed up this very casual tank. I added a white J.Crew skirt, an Ann Taylor Loft silk sash with nautical rope detail for a belt, and madras Tommy Hilfiger espadrilles. To dress it up even more, I put my hair in a side swept, low pony and added soft curls.
The next picture is not really an outfit but another kid's clothing item. I got this from Talbots kids right when they were going out of business and cCm and I both got it for a steal of a deal. I have had this for about 2 years now and love it. It is cut very modestly which I really like because a lot of swimsuit cover ups don't actually cover up! I was walking into the CC in this picture and I most often sport this cover up there because it is without a doubt appropriate to go inside with this over my swimsuit. It almost looks as if it's just a casual dress. You cannot tell in the picture bit the whole thing zips up in the front and has a hood attached. It is made out of soft terrycloth and has ruffle detailing.Where do you find your swimsuit cover ups? Do you ever have problems finding modestly styled cover ups? Share your tips on where to shop!
I hope you all have a fabulous day!

Talbots Love
My long time readers know that I have a love for Talbots clothing. I used to work at Talbots Kids when I was in high school before the sadly closed their doors. I admittingly used to frequent both stores for their well-priced high-quality clothing, but now I just have to stick to Talbots. When Talbots Kids closed, I was lucky enough to be able to pick out whatever I wanted and got a huge percentage off on the day that they closed their doors for good. I literally filled a huge box of clothing for my sister and I. Talbots closed in around September of 2008, so I had started my first year of college. So, I had my mother go in on the last day to pick up and pay for the large box of clothing. When they came to visit for parents weekend, they toted all of my new "kids" clothing with them so I could get some wear out of it. I am so lucky I had the opportunity because it was really like getting a new wardrobe. A lot of my clothing that I often times get compliments on is Talbots Kids. When people ask, they are shocked; well, 1. being that I'm 20 years old and wearing childrens clothing, and 2. that I can still fit into the sizes. This whole rant is because it is 2 years later and I finally wore this adorable multi-colored seersucker skort from TK this weekend and I am in love all over again! I took a picture of it on me, but of course, the awful camera on my BlackBerry doesn't do the skirt justice. However, since I'm still sans camera, I will post the pictures anyway.
Again, awful pictures. I am going to wear this again soon and try to get a much better picture for you all. The skirt is not too long and not too short--it's just the perfect length. Plus, as an added bonus, it has knit shorts underneath (most likely for little girls who like to run around and turn somersaults) but they add comfort, and it's always nice to know that there is no chance of pulling a Brittney in this skirt!
Have you ever purchased anything for yourself from a children's store? I am a big fan of doing this. When I can fit into the sizes, I always find the most darling things. I especially love the Ralph Lauren childen's clothing because it is less expensive and they have such fun colors. Plus, there is little to no chance that any one else will be wearing the same thing.. well unless your around many children! Have a fabulous day!
