Being a college student I never have time to read for pleasure. If I do have the time to read, I usually just finished reading for class and therefore reading is the last thing I want to do. However, one of my clever and fun professors gave us an assignment where we had to read for fun. We got to choose any book under the sun. I chose The Hunger Games. Let me tell you, boy oh boy did I choose right. I loved this book! I need to read the second book in the sequel, Catching Fire, asap!
Before I read the book, I must have been living under a literary rock because I had no idea that there is a movie being made! If you're wondering, it is coming out in 163 days!
I can't wait! Is anyone else so excited? Did you read the book? In many ways, the idea of the book somewhat reminded me a lot of The Giver. Definitely a good, quick read!!

I LOVED the triology. Such a far cry from what I normally read but I was instantly hooked! I read "Divergent" after that series and may have liked it even more. That adds 3 more books to your fun list. ;)
Oh my gosh I love love The Hunger Games and the two other books, I can't wait for the movies to come out!! What a fun project from your professor, I wish I had time to read for fun!
Hunger Games are the best books I've read in a long time, and I'm so glad they are being made into movies so there will be something worthwhile to go see at the theater. I feel your pain in wanting to read Catching Fire! I had to wait to read the third book and it nearly killed me.
As you read yesterday, Hunger Games is in my stack of books to read. You've gotten me all excited about it and I think I may just start reading it this weekend (over fall break). how LAME of me.
I love these books! The first one is by far the best, the others are good reads but they're not as enchanting as the first. My best friend and I have been scouting out who has been cast as who to see if we agree, its always fun to see if what you pictured in your head is what the movie turns out like! xoxo
I bought this book but have yet to read it! I've heard lots of good things about it so I'm excited to start it! Hopefully over Thanksgiving break :) I'll have to get it in before the movie comes out!!

Great choice! I just finished the first book too, AMAZING, and loved all the characters. I cannot wait to start number 2!!

I am reading The Hunger Games currently and can't put it down, I even brought it to class today! So good, and I can't wait to read the trilogy!
