It's no secret that I curl my hair often. The most asked question from Summer Wind readers and friends is that they want to know how I curl my hair. It is really hard describe in words... I always tell my friends IRL that they just need to watch me do it a few times.
I snapped the above picture to show that my curls (almost more like waves) don't immediately look like they do in the pictures that I post. I would say that 50% of the time, my curls are slept on. Meaning I shower the night before, blow dry and curl my hair to look like the above picture and then go to bed. When I wake up, I just run a brush through it and I get pretty, wavy curls.
Not that this is a secret, but I don't think that many ladies think to sleep on their curls. My hair holds a curl really well, so my 8 hours (if I'm lucky) of sleep tousles it up enough to look less formal.
Have you tried sleeping in your curls? It's my go-to for waves! Have a fabulous day!

My hair is naturally curly so I , too, find this is the best way for my curling iron curls to look tousled!
My hair is very fickle about holding a curl, but I have found that it usually holds better after sleeping on them, like you said. Good advice!

Your hair is perfect. Like actually.
I love this post. I have always thought your hair was beautiful and this picture of curls is wonderful. Do you use a large barrel curling iron or something else? Since it is hard to describe in words, maybe you should do a video, either just post on here or on YouTube showing how you fix your hair.
