Okay. Okay.

With summer coming, I am always looking for great beach reads. There is no better feeling than being completely wrapped up in a good book. The above photo is of some books that I have recently picked up.

I read The Fault In Our Stars by John Green in 24 hours. It. Is. Epic. It deserves its own post and that's what today is all about (if you've read it, you'll get the title of the post).

It is a super quick and easy read but I couldn't put it down. I originally wanted to read it because the movie was filmed here in Pittsburgh. I want to see the movie when it comes out in just a few weeks, but always like to read the book, first. I didn't know what I was getting myself into!!!!

This book should have a warning or disclaimer because this is so not a book that you can just read while laying on the beach. This might be one of the most excruciatingly depressing books I have ever read but it is also incredibly amazing, too. It's a heartbreakingly beautiful love story and by the end of it I didn't even know what to do. It's cliche to say that this book changed me but it really did. It legitimately made my heart ache. It makes me appreciate my good health and my family's good health a lot more but it also softens me to a love story. I'm not into cheesy love stories like The Notebook or anything like that, but #TFIOS just touched me.

Read the book, but don't say I didn't warn you. You will cry like a baby, I guarantee it. I actually don't think I'll ever read it again, it's that sad.

I can't wait for the movie. I really want to go the day it opens, but let me just say it's going to be a big room of crying people. I am loving the songs from the soundtrack, too (Grouplove's, One Republic's and Ed Sheeran's are my faves). So who else has read it? If not, well read it... but I warned you. Have a fabulous day!

Yours,

This was by far one of my favorite books! I work in a children's hospital and am honored and blessed to get to work with kids like this every day. Such an amazing book!

I read this just last week, and loved it, But like you said, cried like a baby! I can just see the movie theatre being the same way! Love, Lucy (sunnydaysandlovelyways.com)

If you loved The Fault in Our Stars, then you must read Eleanor & Park. John Green wrote a NYT review of the book and I was amazed by how perfect a story about two young adults could be. It was my favorite book of 2013!
