We're switching up this week's usual 'Lately' post for a '26 random little facts about me' list. One to represent each year because it is my birthday! I know many of you have been reading since the beginning of Summer Wind (when I was 19!) and some have just visited for the first time, so here are some little things that you may not know about me...

1. Sushi is my favorite food (beef or tuna tartare is a close second). 
2. Hendrick's gin or Veuve Clicquot are my drinks of choice 
3. I can play the piano and violin (not so well anymore)
4. I can't stand red notifications on my phone- my goal is to get rid of them as fast as they arrive. 
5. If I could choose any one single designer to wear for the rest of my life, it would be a toss up between Carolina Herrera and Ralph Lauren (one can dream). 
6. I drink my coffee extra strong and black
7. If I could ski every day for the rest of my life, I'd be one happy girl. 
8. I'm convinced I was born in the wrong era. I think I was supposed to be born around 1950. 
9. My favorite movie of all time is Father of the Bride. I think Nancy Meyers is a genius. 
10. Taco Bell is my guilty pleasure and crunch wrap supreme or cheesy gordita crunch is my order.
11. Sparkling water is always preferable over flat...I love pretty much anything with carbonation.
12. The spicier, the better. The more onion, the better. 
13. My top celeb crushes are: Harry Styles, Austin Butler, Cal Shapiro, Adam Brody, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ansel Elgort, Julian Edelman; and the 'older' ones: James Marsden, Tucker Carlson, Scott Speedman and Scott Foley. 
14. I still sleep with my 'blanky' every night... not really sleep with it, but it always stays in my bed. 
15. I'm obsessed with sleeping. I could sleep at any time, anywhere. 
16. I've never broken a bone or had a cavity (knock on wood). 
17. I'm terrified of needles and doctors... yet somehow, I've ended up with a ton of stitches. 
18. Eloise (at the Plaza) is my spirit animal. 
19. I hate socks. 
20. I am so not a morning person.
21. In 7th grade, I was obsessed with Avril Lavigne and wanted to marry a skater boy. 
22. I always got good grades and made Dean's List and President's list in college, yet I can never seem to spell 'occasion' right. Ever. (Thankful for spellcheck). 
23. I have a terrible nail biting/picking habit, so I get my nails done twice a month to keep me from picking at them (OPI Big Apple Red is my go-to polish). 
24. I want all the dogs, but Mac will always be my #1 love. 
25. I had braces twice. 
26. I've never pulled an all-nighter (refer to #15 haha).

Tonight I'm headed to dinner with friends then Saturday I'm going out with my family to a restaurant I've never been to before, so I am excited! And to top off my weekend my family is coming over for cake on Sunday!

Truth be told, I'm not exactly thrilled with this birthday-- it's kind of a boring one (seriously, my parents got me a vacuum cleaner as a gift.. thankful for it because it's necessary, but talk about a snoozefest haha). I also feel like I have been so busy that I haven't really had time to realize it's my birthday... but hey, I never turn down a reason for an extra glass of bubbly and some cake!
