Wear-to-Work: Pink Pearl Dress

If you are like me (read: not a morning person), then this dress is for you! It's an effortless wear-to-work dress. The pale pink tweed fabric makes it feminine and different and the pearl collar is what really sets it apart. 

The pearl collar is definitely what sold me with this one (see insta here for detail photo). Although it may look like my hair is always done, I'd say 50% off the time, my hair is pulled back in some way (during the week). I have so much hair and sometimes, in the mornings, I am just too lazy to fully style it. This is especially true during the summer months when it is so darn hot! Usually, I pull it up into a topknot or pulled half back with a clip. 

I was rushing in the morning a few weeks ago and remembered I had this dress! I threw it on, put my hair up, slipped on some shoes , and was out the door within 15 minutes. 

I usually feel a little less than fabulous when my hair isn't styled, but I actually loved my hair in a topknot (not pictured) because it showed off the pearl collar! I got so many compliments. This dress is now my go-to for rushed mornings! As for sizing, it runs true-to-size, I am wearing a size 2. I am 5'6", so if you are any taller, this may not be the dress for you because of the length of the dress. 

I also get tons of questions about my bow flats. These are my favorite shoes ever. I have several pairs in different colors and wear them weekly. While a bit pricey, they are so comfortable and well worth it! Usually in designer shoes, I size up to a 38.5, however, I recommend sticking true to size with these. I always wear a size 8! 

The difference between the Vara and Varina style is that the Vara has a 1 1/4" block heel and the Varina is a true ballet flat. The Vara has a patent leather bow at the toe and the Varina has a grosgrain bow. To me, the Vara is the most comfortable, but I also love the Varina style, too!
