Wearing: I got this sweater a week or so ago and it has to be the nicest sweater I have ever owned. The cashmere is so thick and luxurious, I want to wear it every day. It was a splurge to begin with but once I got in the mail, I had checked the price and it had gone down by $100. I called Nordstrom and they credited me the price difference! This is totally one of those moments that reminds me why I'm such a huge Nordstrom fan.
Sale-ing: The ShopBop sale is here! It runs through October 14th at 11:59pm and is one of my favorite sales of the year. The offer is 25% off up to $500 and then 30% off $500 or more! You'll need to use code MAINEVENT16 at checkout. For this sale, I suggest going for the bigger ticket items that may be on your list since the discount is so good and the items that are on sale include many that rarely ever go on sale like this cashmere wrap, my favorite bow flats, and these tortoise sunnies.
Drinking: You can now buy 'diet prosecco'. I'm really anxious to try this. I can't imagine it's great, but I'm always willing to give it a shot!
Watching: I just saw Girl on the Train this week and it was SO good. I hadn't read the book, but the two friends that I went with had, so I really had no idea what to expect. Boy, did the storyline take a turn! Definitely see it if you can!
Wanting:
Loving: BareMinerals BarePro. This powder foundation is amazing. I've been using it for a few weeks now and have absolutely zero complaints. It's long-lasting, stays put, has great coverage, and as all BareMinerals products are, it's great for my skin! I wear the Golden Nude 13 shade which is pretty much exact to my skin tone! Normally, I'm not one to worry about what brushes I use because I like to keep my makeup routine as low maintenance as possible, but the brush that goes with the powder is a game-changer. It seriously makes applying the powder fool proof! I could not recommend both more!
Pittsburgh-ing: Tomorrow night we are celebrating my friend, Aly's, birthday! To celebrate, we are heading to one of my all-time Pittsburgh favorites: Casbah in Shadyside! I'm really looking forward to the fun celebration!
Listening: I embedded October's playlist in last week's Lately post, so you can find it there! The song 'As We Are Now' by Saint Raymond is on the list and I'm obsessed. I've had it on repeat all week long!
Smelling: If you ever pop into Homegoods, you must check to see if they have the DW Home 'Autumn Harvest' candle. I'm typically not a fan of pumpkin candles-- they're usually too fake or too sweet, but this has just the right amount of pumpkin/fall/apple scent. It's light, fresh, and doesn't smell fake. Also, those are the mini pumpkins pictured above from Trader Joe's that I wrote about in past week's Lately posts. They're seriously addicting.
Quoting: 'I am in love with the things that remind me that my troubles are small; the vastness of an ocean, the precipice of a mountain cliff, or the crook of your right arm.' // See more of my favorites, here.
