I love a good sale, but my favorite kind? A sale on everything (even new arrivals)! Lord and Taylor's Friends and Family sale is going on now through April 17th. We had a really beautiful weekend here in Pittsburgh and I wanted to fully take advantage of the warm weather. So what to do? Pack up a picnic and head outside! 

I've noticed the cherry blossoms blooming, but we have yet to get buds on the trees, so it still looks like winter here. However, there are little signs of spring here and there! I cannot wait to see flowers start to grow and add a little color to the atmosphere! 

There's a cute park right near my parent's house. It was our favorite growing up because it's on a big hill, so it is great for sledding. It also makes for a perfect picnic area, too. Living downtown, I get outside a lot because I walk most places. However, one thing I majorly miss about living in the suburbs is being outside for meals. My parents have the loveliest outdoor patio and lounge area in our back yard and it is one of my favorite things about home. I love going to their house for dinner in the spring/summer/fall to enjoy an outdoor meal! Luckily, I am only 10 minutes away so this still happens often!

During the warmer months, my weekend wardrobe consists of exactly what you see in the photos above. A classic button down shirt, denim shorts, and casual sneakers. It's a comfortable outfit, but also looks put together. Ralph Lauren makes my favorite button downs, and this denim one is such a classic. I have photos of both my mom and dad wearing this exact shirt when they were my age! 

Another classic? The Tretorn sneakers I am sporting. I love a white sneaker and these are no exception. They're such a classic and super affordable...especially when you take 30% off during the sale (they come about to be under $50!). 

And something not so classic but still cute? These distressed denim shorts. I have a pair that are a blue denim color that I have worn to death, so I figured it was about time to go for a white pair. I'm already rocking them, despite the 'white rule'. I also love white jean shorts with a cream or white sweater. Such a chic, simple look! The ones I am wearing run true to size. I am wearing a size 27 which is what I usually wear in denim.
