Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale Summer 2019

The day has come and the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale is HERE! Like in years past, you will be put in a virtual line so you may have to wait a bit but it's worth it- I seriously think this is the best sale that Lilly has ever had. The selection is HUGE and there are lots of print options for each style. I'm blown away. Truly.

See below for items I have and love that are included in the sale. I touch on quality and size/fit.

For your reference on sizing, I am typically a size 2 in Lilly Pulitzer. I typically wear a size 2 or 4 (or 27) and a size small in most other brands. I'm 5'6". Things are final sale, so if you are truly unsure on sizing, you'll want to size up because you can always tailor it to fit, but if it's too small, you're out of luck!

White Dresses for Bridal Shower, Bachelorette, or Rehearsal:

ALIVIA DRESS

Quality: This is kind of crazy that this is included in the sale because right now it's full-price on Nordstrom's website! This dress is a fit and flare style and as sweet as can be. The pink is BRIGHT which makes me really happy but if you are not into a more neon hue, this might not be for you! However, they also are offering it in the Havana Pink Yarn Dye which is a pink and white seersucker and eyelet lace combo which is a lot more subtle! And they also have it in all white eyelet lace which is STUNNING- great for a bride-to-be! The lace detailing is stunning and the part around the waist is 'see-through'.

Sizing/Fit: This is true to size. I am wearing a size 2. It's fitted in the top and then flares out more at the bottom.

PEARL ROMPER

Quality: This print I am wearing is currently full-priced, but the pearl romper is available on sale, too! I LOVE this style. It looks like a shift dress, however, it's actually a romper. There are slits on the sides that reveal shorts! It is so comfortable and flattering.

Sizing/Fit: This runs true to size. the shorts part are very loose and breezy- they are not fitted! The fabric is not stretchy at all, though. This would be an easy piece to have tailored, though.

MADIA TUNIC DRESS

Quality: This is such a great dress. It's a throw-on style that looks instantly polished and put together. It's a very lightweight cotton-feel dress so it's perfect for really hot weather. The lace detailing is just gorgeous and really elevates an otherwise casual dress. I love this print because it is navy-based so it's not as loud as some of the other Lilly prints.

Sizing/Fit: This is a tunic-style dress so it is meant to be a relaxed fit. It is a-line and definitely roomy. I am wearing a small, but again, could have worn an XS. There is very little stretch to the fabric so keep that in mind.

MILA SHIFT// MILA SHIFT// MILA SHIFT// MILA SHIFT

Quality: The first two images feature older prints of the Mila shift and the last is a current print that is full price, but the Mila Shift is a Lilly Pulitzer classic style. It's a sheath-style shift dress and has a cute little U-shaped dip in the back. I love the bamboo zipper at the back.

Sizing/Fit: This is a style that is meant to be fitted. I accidentally got a 4 in the last dress you see in the photos and it's too roomy. It doesn't look horrible, but I definitely need to take it to the tailor since this style looks best when truly fitted. I typically wear a size 2 in the Mila and it fits like a glove... that is what the first two images are!

ELSA TOP (this print available Tuesday)// ELSA TOP

Quality: The Elsa top is a Lilly Pulitzer classic. There are SO many prints available. If you are unfamiliar with it, it's a gorgeous silk top. It has a slightly smocked neckline and the prettiest gold buttons down the front. This is one of those tops that you can dress up and down and always look effortless. This is the perfect top for those of you who work in a business casual office.

Sizing/Fit: This runs generously. I am wearing a size small but could easily have sized down to an XS. If you are in-between sizes, size down. It's mean to fit billowy and looks great tucked or untucked!

LEGGINGS

Quality: I love Lilly's athletic line. The quality is always so great and what I love the most about their leggings is that you can wear them in the winter and they fully brighten up those cold early morning workouts. The leggings are opaque and suck you in.

Sizing/Fit: These fit true to size. I am wearing a size small and typically wear a size small in most athletic brands. They have a nice amount of stretch to them. I love the wide, high waistband because they really suck me in and feel very comfortable! They don't shrink and do well in the wash (no color fading!).

PAJAMAS// PAJAMA TOP

Quality: These are SO soft and cozy! Very stretchy and the perfect sleep outfit.

Size/Fit: These run true to size. I am wearing smalls in both top and bottom. They are roomy so you don't need to size up if you are like me and like your pajamas a little bigger. 

KRISTEN FLOUNCE DRESS// PRINT// MAXI PRINT

Quality: This one is a guess, but I think they'll be including this red right return print dress in the sale. It's one of those effortless and easy dresses. It is a lightweight printed fabric. I think it's great as swimsuit dress but can also be worn for casual things like running errands. It also looks so cute with white sneakers.

Sizing/Fit: This is a swing style dress so it's fitted in the shoulders and then gets roomier as it reaches the hem. It runs a little big. I am wearing a size small but could have taken an XS.

LELA SILK SLIP DRESS

Quality: I LOVE this print. It's a vibrant pink and then there are white and two other pink hues throughout the dress. It's an easy slip-style dress with adjustable straps. This is short but not too short if that makes sense. Just not something you could wear to an office or anything like that. I'm wearing it here with Jacks, but this could definitely be dressed up with statement earrings and cute heels for a cocktail party or even more casual wedding. 

Size/Fit: This runs true to size. I am wearing a size small. It's straight so if you are curvier, keep that in mind! 

NATALIE COVERUP

Quality: I love love love this coverup! It's included in the sale in a beautiful print. I have had this for years and wear it so much. It's a great length, too. It looks like an oversized shirt, but plenty long enough if you have to walk through your hotel or something like that! 

Size/Fit: This runs true to size. Definitely a bit roomy, but I like my coverups to fit that way! I am wearing a size small.

GOLF SKORT

Quality: I love Lilly's luxletic line. The pieces are SUCH good quality. This skirt is thick and stretchy and is just so perfectly made. Every detail with the pockets and great waistband were well thought out. 

Fit/Sizing: This runs true to size. It's very stretchy and the perfect skort for golf! 

SILK DRESS

Quality: This is one I actually borrowed from my mom because it is SO stunning. Seriously the fabric and details are incredible. This would actually be a really fun bachelorette or rehearsal dinner dress. Can be dressed up for a cocktail event, no problem! 

Size/ Fit: True to size. It's an a-line fit and I find it to be very comfortable! 

LITTLE BLACK DRESS

Quality: Kind of crazy to see Lilly do black, right? But they do it SO WELL. This is one of my favorites. The silk is stunning (it's lined) and the detailing around the neckline is gorgeous. A dressy dress that you can wear for a multitude of events and year-round, too! 

Size/Fit: True to size. If anything a bit big, but I wore my usual size. This is meant to fit flowy. 

INTERCHANGEABLE HANDBAG

JACQUARD DRESS WITH FRINGE

Quality: The fabric on this is stunning. Truly a gorgeous cocktail dress that is perfect for any dressier occasion. It's a heavy dress- not that it makes it uncomfortable to wear, but you can tell how high-quality it is. 

Fit/Sizing: This runs big. I would suggest sizing down. It's not meant to be super form-fitting but I find it big in the chest and hips. 

CARLOTTA SHIFT (elephants)

GABBY SHIFT (coral)

Sizing: I am wearing a size 2. The fit is more a true size 2. It is a little tight in the hip area for me, so I should have sized up! If you're not curvy/wider in the hips, I'd stick to your usual Lilly size. 

Quality: This is my favorite dress! The textured navy fabric is classic Lilly and the coral around the neckline is beaded in the most beautiful sequins! The neckline goes around to the back and has a scoop back. This would be dressy enough to wear to a summer wedding if you paired it with heels and a cute clutch! 

JANE SHIFT

Quality: This is one well-made dress. The all-over lace is so gorgeous as is the pom pom trim. The neckline is actually adjustable with a well-hidden zipper. 

Sizing/Fit: This runs big! It's a more tunic-style shift dress so I would suggest sizing down. 

GOLD JACQUARD DRESS

Quality: This is another gorgeous fabric. The fabric is stiff so it is really ladylike! The detailing around the neckline and waist is beautiful. 

Sizing/Fit: This is a fit and flare style. It's a little tight in my chest (I'm wearing a size 2) and I have a small chest. So if you have a larger chest, I would say size up. Otherwise, this runs true to size. 

HARPER CASHMERE WRAP

BOBBI MAXI SKIRT// GOOP Maxi Skirt

Quality: Oh my goodness I am SO excited this is on sale. You guys... this is one of my favorite Lilly pieces of all-time!!!! IT's so stunning in person and can easily be dressed up for a more formal event, but I have it styled here for cocktails when I was in Florida last December! 

Sizing/Fit: This runs true to size. If anything, size down. The only place it is fitted is in the waist. I am 5'6" and did not have this hemmed. Although, I probably should have had it hemmed about an inch or so! If you are any shorter than me, you'll need to have it hemmed! 

ARIELE ROMPER

Sizing/Fit: I am wearing a size small. The fit is generous and so is the length! If anything, size down.

Quality: I love this print! It is toned down with the navy blue base but the pop of bright pink is so much fun. I love the beautifully beaded neckline and the flared sleeves. I typically find rompers to be too short/skimpy but I love the modest length of the shorts. Will be glad to have this in my closet for those 'going out' nights!

MARQUETTE SHIFT

Sizing/Fit: I am wearing a size small. The fit is generous and so is the length! If anything, size down.

Quality: The lace is beautiful and the gold zipper in the back adds a luxe touch. If you are a bride-to-be this would be a fun bachelorette party dress! The white lining is not see-through at all, which I appreciate!

PEARL SOFT SHIFT 

Sizing: My mom (left) is in a size 4 and I am in a size 2. This dress runs true to size, if anything, size down. Take your normal size or size up if you are wider in the hips as this runs pretty straight and narrow in the hips. 

Quality: The lace work at the top is beautiful and well-done! The white color is not see-through and the fabric is lightweight and comfortable. 

LUGGAGE

I love this luggage and so does my mom! It fits SO much it's truly crazy. It fits much more than a hard piece of luggage. I also love how vibrant it is because you can always know what bag is yours!
